I have some ideas but just want to hear from others. I run on a fairly tight course with one 150 foot straight. Thanks.

Do you run the adjustable rear pivot blocks? If you do, try this. Remove the very rear adjustable block and install the original 3-3 plate. That will increase the anti-squat to 4+ degrees. I have been running this set-up for a while now. Works great for my older age reactions/ability. The car is more balanced and doesn't dump over on the rear coming out of corners on-power as much=less rear steer.

+1 on the 8 starter box brackets on the ofna truggy box. I did the same mod and I love it. I upgrades to deans wet noodle and lipo and this box will start anything. Recently I broke in a grp .21 , .28 and an os speed. I never had to unstick the flywheel. Also switching from the buggy to a truggy is a snap. Would love to see pics of your box.

Cool! I picked one up this afternoon from LHS. The Losi one SUCKS!@

losi does not make anything to upgrade the bearings. go the jdub route. it's the cheapest and the best. if ur worried about turnariund time. i sent him mine on monday and had them back on thursday. he's a super cool guy that does awsome work.

Have him mod two sets for ya, i live farely close to him so if i break a hub i can have a new one that same day. Dont you carry a spare hub in ur box anyways.

mattwoodcraft 06-12-2009 01:38 PM

just get more than one set of hubs done :) and you will still save big Z:):)

i have never broken a rear hub on my 8

I had him mod up the losi aluminum ones for me and they are great. That was before the KHZ hubs were around and if you wanted aluminum hubs that was the only option. I also had him mod my aluminum front spindles, because I was having issues with those bearings too. Not as bad as the rears, but they were wearing fast.

These are the aluminum ones I had him mod.

Or you could just go with the KHZ ones.

I had one hub break on the old truck and that was enough to convince me to go aluminum.

no, well kinda, the whole assembly other then the saver spring are the same. do your self a favor just grab the 1.0 truggy servo spring

sickmojave 06-12-2009 03:06 PM

Thanks..

I wanted to get the alum arm for it and found a good deal on one, but it is for the buggy and I just needed to know if that would work.

You can 2 sets of plastic 16mm hubs for the price of 1 set of KH hubs

although you wont need 2 sets.
ever since losi upgraded the hinge pin i've never seen or heard of someone breaking a plastic hub
also remember the more aluminium you put on your car the less flex it will have which will leed to more bent and broken turnbuckles
i used to break ball ends all the time when i had the aluminium hubs on the 8T and ive never broken one since i went back to the plastic hubs
