Take a look at what buggys have been taking the spotlight over the last 3-4 months.
Kyosho SP9
Mugen MBX6
Hot Bodies DX8
First thing I know is that over the last few months the pictures of losi's crew out at the farm did not show any major chassis changes, but the steering rack was said to have been changed. The cars they were showing then all were the Flex chassis with the same setup as the original 8ight. I have seen Losi bring out car's in the past and you would have seen some bigger testing sessions than a bag of parts two weeks before the worlds. I think the stickers and chassis to black is to keep some of the news attention over there way. From a business standpoint its the best marketing they could do, you will now have all major publications trying to take sneak photos of the same car that has won a majority of the races so far. The only change I could see to the 8ight would be some way to keep the rack tighter, besides that the car is great!

Info from neobuggy
Speculated viciously last week, here is some evidence of the 'new parts' which most Losi cars will feature at the Farm II from tomorrow. You can see below the new chassis, a couple of mm longer at the rear, and new shock towers. All the parts we saw are all made in effort to lighten the car, they include caster blocks, bulkhead, brake discs, check back tomorrow for more details.

Is it just me, or does that chassis look like a composite?
