Is the smart diff just another way of tuning instead of using diff oils to tune?

does the 1.0 body and 2.0 body are they for both buggies or does one just fit it's own

The smart diff is a tuning option. May not work everywhere and/or for anyone. It is tunable.

Both bodies will work on each car.

whats the best way to make the rear end tighten up. In the corner the rear end wants to spin out.

both will work BUT the throttle linkage will hit Majorly with the 1.0 body on the 2.0

set your buggy up to thrues set up but put 5k in the center diff. I had problems with my buggy and the rear end, this fixed it

I run more rear anti-squat. If you have the Losi adjustable rear pivot blocks, just use the front one on the rear with 1 up inserts and the stock 3-3 rear plate. This gives 4+ degrees. Hooks the rear end up better on-power and gives better corner entry. Give it a try. Really easy to change, and if you don't like it, then change it back. I run this all the time for over a year now.

Default Losi Upgrades

Hello guys,

Yesterday I took apart my Losi 8B 2.0 (and 8T 2.0) for their long overdue winter rebuild. I'll be doing all the normal stuff, changing shock oils, diff fluids, all the bearings will be replaced. I happened to break a part during the take apart so I fired up the exploded view to get the right replacement part numbers and I noticed a few Losi Goodies in the hop-ups section. Specifically:

Lightened Diff Outdrives
and
Aluminum Rear Gearbox Bearing Inserts

Outfitting the buggy with these goodies will run about $70 (each). Are these upgrades worth the cost? Are they (the lightened outdrives) as strong as the stock units? And a bonus, any other upgrades I should consider while the vehicles are totally disassembled?

Thanks for any feedback you guys can provide and great racing to you all in 2010.
