Thanks Joe, I had raced it in Paradise California with great results, the car worked really well. Now it's off to a much bigger and faster track, really excited to learn how its going to handle the terrain...

Cool! I think you'll find yourself getting faster each time out.
All the guys on here are very helpful if you ever need anything, just ask.

could someone help me please. i may be over looking this problem..i was also doing the build at 2 a.m. but i assembled the steering assembly and when i put it on the chassis it has a hard time turning. i noticed it was rubbing on the hing pin bolt and screw.Should i switch the hing pin around so the screw head is facing the back of the casing? i can switch the one hing pin back to the E-clip one and it clears it no problem. i am not sure if one of the hing pins where slightly shorter then the rest or i possibly assembled it wrong.

Thanks Ethan

Ethan put small spacers in the front side of the pin and it will stop the binding,we have shorter threaded pins coming out now.

Thanks
Luther

Just finished building mine. I ran a couple minutes real quick in my driveway. Still have to set camber/toe, but all in all, things are looking pretty good. I also used the captured pins, and had the same binding problem. What I did was to put the nut on the front, but I had to cut a little bit of the bumper so it would fit over the nut. Hope this helps.

Shootin for the BMain @ The Barn this Sunday

Thanks Ethan
I also put the hinge pins in with the locknut facing the front side at the bumper and you will need to shave some plastic off of the bumper. I have done this with most of my cars because it makes changing the kick-up plate (or bushings) in the front a lot quicker.

Thanks Tony, good luck at the Regionals this weekend, hopefully we can put on a good show for the SX8...
