Moving the body posts higher sounds like a good idea, did it look good to?

Wouldn't it work to carefully heat the body with a heatgun and then press it on to the MST-1? Or would that hurt the Lexan?

Default body blues

If you never use the outside holes on the tower you could always shave tower down until it fit. Don't know if this would work just a thought.

More wise words Since my buddy never races or something like that, he doesn't work much with the set-up, tires and springs seems to be enough

Yes heating the body and changing the shape will work, just be careful not to change the shape of the wrong areas. I have done this in the past when bodies we not as dialed as they are today.

if he decides to do that.. he may want to practice on some of the side material of the body.. you know.. the stuff you cut off around the body..

Default indoor track setup

This is the closest setup I found on indoor high bite:

front
camber= -1
toe= 0 or .5 out
ride height= level
piston= 1.5mm
oil= AE 25wt
spring= mugen grey
in spacer= none
out spacer= unthread shock 2 turns
shocks mid on tower mid on arm
camber link short with .06mm spacer on bulkhead none on hub

rear
camber= -.5 or -1 deg
wheel base= 1mm front, 3mm rear
toe= inside 3deg, outside 2deg
mugen drivers say 4in and 1 out works even better
ride height= bones just above level
piston=1.6mm
oil=AE 25wt
spring= mugen grey
shocks out on tower in on arm
camber linkupper inside on tower outside on hub

use tire of choice at track I used red tapers in back with silver in front. m3 evil twins worked well for me as well.

Default os carb

Gary, I ran my mst-1 with my drake pipe and o.s carb yesterday. It was so smooth. I don't know how I ever got around the track with the stock setup. I have a race in Feb. so I will know more about it then but summer is looking up. I'm tempted to keep running the mt12 as long as I can, unless someone can convince me otherwise. Are the peak motors awesome or are the mt12 just as good.

Stu: I am glad that the pipe and carb worked well for you. I have been running the Peak Diablo .12 Rear exhaust with some modifications and it has been awesome. In stock form the engine lacks power and top speed. Peak is currently working on possibly having a new veresion of the engine come out, with the same specs as what I have been running. Phillip Atondo also ran one of these engines and liked it. So it should be good considering the street price is around 119.00 and it can be rebuild for 25.00 or so.
