I've never heard anything bad about Losi shocks before, but I can't really comment, since the only Losi I've owned was a used JR-XT(my first car). Mugen shocks OWN AE shocks in ease of bleeding, though.

Default shock pistons

Has anyone experimented with different shock pistons at your local track? What kind of improvements/differences did you notice?

i drilled both the front and rears to 1.5mm and use mugen 200 in the front and 250 in the rear. that little mod made the truck handle so much better. you can also go as far as 1.6mm, which is an easier bit to find because its equivalent is 1/16, and use a little thicker oil

right now i'm using 1.6mm holes front and rear with silvers all around, and 30wt in front and rear as well. I had a mean "nose heav" attitude from the truck when jumping. I moved the rear shock tops out to the last hole (shock end being in the most inner position also) and it really help correct that.
I will be installing 1.5mm pistons soon so that I can use lighter oil and that will help soak up the smaller stuff better than having my 1.6mm pistons with thicker oil like I have now.

I never ran the truck with the stock setup. I'm running 1.5mm drilled(well, reamed, technically) pistons, 30wt Losi oil up front, and 25wt Losi oil in the rear. If you guys have a few spare minutes, check out the review I wrote that just got up online. I tried to be as honest as possible...Lemme know what you guys think.

hey does anyone know if titanium turnbuckles are available yet?
These steel ones keep bending on me and when the track gets hosed down, they start to rust around the threads.

I personally use the Lunsford titanium turnbuckles up front and rear. They are plenty strong and don't rust.

Same here, although I hear Mugen has their own titanium turnbuckles available now.

I just bought 3-2 1/2 in. packs(2 in each pack). Seem to fit fine, though you may want to go slightly shorter for the rear camber links...
