Default JCONCEPTS Finisher body

[QUOTE=ROSCOE;14392692]Ok guys, I was waiting on a few parts to show up to finish my little brothers truck up and decided to mock up the jconcepts finnisher body. Overall it's a nice choice for those looking for something else. I would say it's as good of a fit as any. I cut just below the cut lines for the stock chassis and side guards (m2c chassis need to leave them longer) and followed the cut lines for the rest except the engine is shifted slightly left and back and the snipped the rear to fit around the tower/body mounts. The key with the body is to shift it back to get the engine closer to the cab and cutting around the tower rather than leaving it long in the back and having a bunch of the nose sticking over the bumper. Here are a few pics.

Hi, saw this thread, lucky to get a ST-RR Evo2. You mention JCONCEPTS Finnisher body, for which brand was it????, ie Mugen, TLR???
Regards

Yeah I can’t recall. Could have been the mugen version as well. Sorry. Usually better about detail.

Every other truggy went wide rear pivot with a long arm interesting to see a shorter rear arm(mp9 rear uprights have quite a bit of offset) with a narrow pivot

Looks like the whole point of design on this vehicle is to use as many buggy parts as possible and see if it will yield a well handling truggy

they have definitely stepped it up with the mp10 and I bet the new truggy will be awesome if it’s definitely based off the buggy

Is this evo still worth getting? Or
Should I just get a mp10t?

Don’t get me wrong the Old truggy was great in its day but the MP10T is awesome. Handling is great, way more steering, right out the box setup I’m able to keep up with great drivers and I’ve only had her on the track like 4 times now and just got back into racing the end of last year with my old ST-RR. Only thing I did different then manual set up was go with 5k in the rear diff because of my driving style.
Plus it’s going to keep getting harder to find parts for the evo.

Sorry for popping-up this great thread!
I've got a kit of the STRR Evo 2. with an electric conversion I'm finishing those days, got the whole kit and parts getting dust for over 3years now due to some medical issue...
Anyways, I've installed the motor house with the stock Spur 50T and wanted to use the 4x15mm screws - but it seems:
A. The motor house is not stable as with the 4x12 screws - I can shake it by my hand without making too much of effort
B. The screws don't get the whole way inside (they are a bit bold-out from the bottom of the chassis)
Any idea what am I missing anything?

I'm building it based on Kyosho electric conversion & HobbyWing XR8 Plus (150A) + Xerun Kv G2

Thanks in advance!
