If you are running in really hot ambient temps you might want to try a harder compound tire. A lot of times the harder tire will make more traction when the track is hot.

I was thinking JUST that. Going to test this and see if it helps.

Dear Everyone,

I want to give a special THANKS to Hobbico, Scott Cramer, Steve
O'Donnell, Gordy Cockburn, John Stokes, and Dave Sproul for the past
couple of years, with the support of the O'Donnell Car line. I want to
thank them for all what they did for me and I will never forget that
they got me to where I'm at, right now. They supported me to the very
best and I really appreciated it. I'm looking forward to there support
from there other products lines (Futaba, etc.) Hobbico is a great
company and will always be there for their racers and customers. I will be driving for Team Associated now and I wish everyone the best of luck.

Thanks again, and best wishes to everyone.

Well by burnt up I mean it don't work anymore. It was about 100 degrees with atleast 90% humidity. Piston is completely black. Guess I shouldn't have done that last high speed run!

Haven't found/searched for hingepins yet, but the RC8 turnbuckle set works great, but you must also order the set of two 50mm links for the steering (Lunsford #1450)

Aluminum screws are out. Too soft for most parts of the car. You can get titanium screws from Duratrax, Mugen, Team VTX and Lunsford. The Mugens are soft, but very light. Perfect for keeping the diffs on the chassis and anywhere the screws go thru the plastic. Keep the steel screws for the heavier stuff (front shock mounts, inside turnbuckles) The Lunsford screws are much stronger, but you pay for it.

Aluminum nuts though, you can use almost through-out the car.

All together, this should add up to quite the weight savings.
