If you are there you're welcome to stop by and check out the RC8.

Coach,

If the RC8 is not out by the Truck Nats in August, can you bring one to that race so I can check it out?

Thanks

Ultraspeedb4,

From what they have said on this thread the car will come with carbon fiber towers. Not sure if it rotates like a Losi? I am sure Coach could let us know how the car handles besides on rails?

I saw Kyle's RC8 at the first round of Pro Series here in the South Division a while back. It's got a TON of steering in stock form. There are a lot of cool things about the car you don't even notice until you pick it up and look at it. Nice work Coach and crew.

I wouldn't bad mouth the car and toss it into the Lion pit until you've had the finished product in your hands. AE will deliver.

As for the handling, the car feels more light and nimble on throttle and steering like a tenth scale and you don't have to wait on it in the turns. I think it is easier to drive and feels like more rear traction than the Losi cars I have driven...

Hey Kdub, thanks for the reply, I just want to ask a question on how the car drives. At the moment I drive a Mugen MBX5R and it is nice but my driving style really involves quite high entry speed into corners, the Mugen seems to deal with this well except for a little understeer that cant really be tuned out. My question is; is the RC8 a car that you have to go slow in fast out or can you really drive this car hard and get away with it. Reason I ask is that it is going to be a light car and the last few truly light light cars Losi, Team Magic are not cars that can be driven hard into corners.
regards
Joe

Well....we have 2 of the hardest drivers on the planet.... ROAR champions in 2005 and 2006.........Ryan Cavalieri and Ryan Maifield. They like it.

If you're driving harder than them then maybe you should slow down!

No more comments about the car....trust me, you'll like it.

I know this subject has been beaten to death, but i gotta ask one more time Is this car EVER going to available in a kit? Also, is the buggy that will be released going to come with an unpainted body? Also, i saw on A-Main Hobbies website that it's going to be sold for $529? is that the correct price? If it is, that's a very good price for a brand new car.

I made the prediction on R/CTech that J Concepts would win their first National title here in Missouri at the stock nats in 2004 (Rod Rippee). Now the 1/8th buggy nats are getting fired up here in St. Louis, and I believe that Team Associated will win it's first 1/8th nitro buggy national title this week!!

Tebo looked very fast on Tuesday before the rains came in, and Team Associated had not yet arrived. The weather looks like it's gonna fight us until Friday, so I hope Team Associated will get enough track time before qualifying starts!!

Good Luck guy's!

Yes, I believe that he does. I was saying that Tebo was here and he is fast, but Team Associated was not here yet so they are a step behind him on track time! The track layout on Tuesday was not the nats layout, so when Associated got in this morning, they got to start off on the new layout just like everyone else.
