or make your own tool....

I put all new pins in all of my bones and have had good luck with it. I used the mugen pins. both sizes, shorter ones for the center and longer ones for front and rear outdrives. they have been in for the past 3 weekends and no problems.

The Bonesaver tool works great and you don't have to worry with the pins coming out, they won't.

You think a chain breaker would work too?

I never messed with replacing dogbones. Rather just spend 10 buck and rebuilt the cvd.

A lot of other companies are running these new ratios or announcing they intend to. It reduces rotating mass and tire spin from a dead stop. It increases fuel milage and is less work for your engine.

As far as the 8ight's front end goes. You can search a post I made a few months ago about the problem with the front end on rough tracks. The nose sticks out too far and touches off on jump faces and landings. You have to drive the Losi more perfect than other offeres. That post has some cool pics of what I am saying.

Thumbs up Here you go...

OFNA #10040 flywheel. It positions the flywheel and shoes correctly with the engine in the stock position.
I run the OFNA shoes (1 carbon and 2 alum) with OFNA copper 1.0mm springs.
OFNA 18 tooth clutch bell and clutch nut.

I like the 18-47. It seems to work everywhere and has more than enough.
This is 11.22 - 1 which is right at where the Associated factory guys are at.

Hope this helps,

I dont see that Ofna makes a 18 tooth. Do you have the part #? What alum shoes you run?

I'll get the numbers when I get to the shop today. It is in the yellow package (usually a Hung-Nor part...) and it is vented and comes with 2 bearings.
I like the silver alum shoes they offer. I think they are the medium weights at 1.8g but I'll check to be sure.
No problem.

Iv'e been using the Mugen also. A long time ago in this thread, some suggested the Mugen oils were around 1,000 heavier than the Losi oil. Well, I'd like to test between the two. That and I can't seem to find the viscosity I'd like in Mugen oil. I drive the 8-T also so I'd like to have 9k or 8k Mugen oil. I can't find it though.

I've thought about getting a whole set of the Ofna oil cause they have about any weight you could think of. I realize everything would be different, but that's what practicing is for. LOL.

Air8 Thanks I saw Matt's post, guess we need to keep the shims, until there is another solution.
