This is what I do and works great .

I haven't had much luck with my stock brake disks...they disintegrated after a few gallon. I installed Avid disks and they have been working awesome and brake fade is minimal.

What do you mean they disintegrated? Like, they fell apart? Or crumbled/flaked apart?

Pictured is a Craftsman generic puller. It works fine for me. There are also 1 or 2 other RC companies that make/sell specific pullers for flywheels. I know you can see them on A-Mainhobbies.

The fiberglass layers flaked apart. If I still have them, i'll take a picture of them. Can't remember off hand if both did or not.

Head down to your local AutoZone or Pepboys and ask for a battery terminal puller. They are like $5.

Default shims

I have a race this weekend and while putting in new clutch bearings i missed placed the shim that goes agianst the clutch nut and the rear clutch bell bearing.....will the bearings last thru the weekend without it?

FIND THAT SHIM!! J/K. Make sure that the CB is not rubbing on the flywheel. Make sure the gear mesh is set well. As long as these are set correctly, you should be ok. Also make sure the CB and the spur gear are aligned as well as you can.

Are you referring to the extended hexes? It will make a difference but ends up coming down to how you prefer the buggy to handle. Some people use them and some don't. If you're interested, try them and report back. From what I've heard it takes away some steering and edginess, making for more stability on rough tracks.

I use the mugen 2mm wheel hex's. I calms the car down when the traction is low. When its sticky though, and the car is tight, ill switch back to the stock losi hex's to get the steering back.
