I use an ACE DS1313 for steering, and a JR 570 for throttle/brake duties, I am happy with them, esp teh ACE

On servos I whould say Futaba BLS351 on stirring and BLS451 ob t/b.
These are very good servos but also not the cheapest. verry low current drawers. Ace 1015 is also a good one but they use 4x the power a futaba uses. We did messure the powerdraw at my LHS.

clutch springs
Hey guys, I'm confused on which clutch spring is stiffest? Is it the gold or the silver springs?
Thanks

I have the silvers on all 4's of losi long wear aluminums but my clutch still "slides". Is the spring not stiff enough or could it be the shoes that I'm using?

I thought about going that route, but I use teh DS1313 for steering and it has been very adequate, and never lacking, because it doesnt kill batteries so quick as teh 1015.
As well analog servos seem to last longer on throttle/brake duty

take a set of caliper's to the shoes and measure the contact patch across 2 shoes...if its below 23.3 the shoes are Done....but 4 tanks seem very unlikely the shoes would be pucked up.

the losi long lifes are a hard shoe and tend to slip more than a king heads or m2c 7075 shoes
try cleaning out the cluch bell with a dremel to remove any ali residue and go to softer springs

Everyone's running the stock shock setup? At a minimum I think I am going to move to thicker oil as it is almost 30 degrees hotter than when we were racing two months ago.
On the new Losi grips, do you guys like them better than Proline Bowties or crime fighters? I am unhappy with the bowties coming unglued from the rims real bad. I am nowhere near worn down on the tread, but I am not so sure how long the sidewalls are going to last with my constant need to reglue them. I am using the Losi tire glue, is there anything better to use?
