In Europe we don’t have the culture that everyone has to win a trophy.

We have 1 class, 8th Nitro Buggy and that’s it. There is no Pro Class, No Sportsman’s, No clubman, No Legends, No 40+, No Expert. Just a single class which covers everyone
To be fair, this is the only race in the US that has this many classes. It's also one of the largest 1/8 scale races in the world as well. How many 1/8 races in the EU are pulling 700+ entries?

700 entries from over 3 classes and 5th scale and monster truck class.

Realistically your prob looking at around 250 individual entries. We also don’t run from 7am-1am. That’s ridiculous.

What race in Europe is big as dnc? It’s more like 8am to 10pm/11....No other way around it, not to mention truggy is not as popular in Europe as it is in the states.

At some European races their are junior classes as well correct? Your junior 16 and under is our 40 and over

Our group had a blast!!

Y’all need to get off the computer next year and come enjoy the challenge instead of punching keys about something you think you may or may not know! Lol.

FYI 1/8th scale entries alone were 728 with 306 drivers.

Your never said about big races, you said he races in the Pro class in Europe which there simply isn’t one. Yes we have a JNR class, but it isn’t run as a separate race, they still run with pros and novices they are just a sub class. Apart from Neo they don’t have a separate race. The results for JNR class is taken from the overal finish postions

Dnc and other races should just be sportsman(no sponsor) and open... still won’t change the length of the event. It’s not just the racing but the camp grounds. Not sure many races around the world have the same atmosphere. Different driving late night in the cold under the lights. Separates the men from the boys

I would use alot of mony to come from Norway to be apart of a race like you describes here :-)

But compeating in a whatever class with only 70-80 drivers just turns me off.

For the average joe to come to dnc from Europe, maybe it’s not worth it? Worse thing about dnc is lack of practice time for the average joe

Yeah none of the men can see when it goes dark and the boys kicks their butt. Lol. That's what happens locally. Sucks getting old.

Great podcast on the DNC. Clears-up some of the controversy.
