Trout, anything other then that? I like metal heatsinks instead of plastic ones. Also, the castle fans have poor CFM flow. I could upgrade the fans however.

I'm sure there is, I just had one laying around and it fit. Seems to be working for me, but I too would like an aluminum one on there.

I'm just wondering would it be easy and cheap to convert this to a MTXL?

There are a bunch of videos on youtube of people who already have these. How in the world are they getting them if the release date is late July??? Some of the videos go back to May!!!

I picked up one of these last week and drove it for the first time on Sunday. I ran it on 2 x 4S 6700Mah SMC 90C packs. I was seriously impressed at how well it performs. My only issue was forgetting to turn off AVC. I approached a jump and AVC overcorrected, (because I was manually correcting) causing me to cartwheel the landing. I ended up with a front CVD popping out of the drive cup from the hit...nothing broken, just tore a hole in the CVD boot.

Well, I made a few calls yesterday and happened to find a shop who has one on the way and I think I am going to take it. Previous to this I wanted an Xmaxx. You guys think that I will be happier with the BXLE?? It's just that I have read way to many issues with the Maxx IE:Esc fires and ring/pinion blow outs.

I am willing to bet the Xmaxx fires are caused by people trying to bash for a full pack on 8s. My understanding is the 8S capability is more for speed runs rather than sustained bashing..

And I think you'd be happier with the Losi if your intention is to have a big SOB to bash around. It's a little longer than the XMAXX and imo might be cheaper in the long run to maintain.

I have both, but don't have a lot of drive time on either. From my initial impressions, I really like both of them. However, the XL-E just seems more efficient; being faster stock while being heavier. I don't think the X-Maxx is built as well or has nearly as good a set of electronics, but that doesn't make it less fun to drive.

However, I think if I were to walk into my LHS ready to drop $ on one of them with them sitting side by side, I'd probably spend the extra $100 and get the XL-E instead of the X-Maxx.

So what's on the market as far as mods ? Everything I find seems to be for the gas version. What is the part compatibility between the two? I'm gonna want some badass looking bead lock wheels for mine and some aluminum and a chassis protector

Nice looking rig... Did you just drill an extra hole for that center skid and use a nut on the back?
I have the same skid and was thinking of doing that...
