You may already have this stuff:
Heavier fluids, shoegoo & drywall tape, 4mm reamer, doable sided VHB tape, something like clear bra or skate board tape to protect the bottom of the chassis.

No, part of the kit mount is composite/plastic. TKR5262 completes the mount in aluminum. http://www.teknorc.com/shop/tkr5262-...l-ano-ebetsct/

Decided on the motor/esc combo today and ordered a Castle MMX and C1515 2200KV for now.

For fluids, I went 40k/80k/40k to start with.

I bashed my eb48.3 and quickly bent the main transmission shaft. If you crash hard, it may happen to you to. I added a brace between the 2 first chassis brace...

Were you running all 3 chassis braces? I've never seen anyone bend that shaft. Mines still perfectly straight after tons of hard hits.

Here are some pics from the build so far...man this is a lot of work for someone that has only had RTR cars. But the sense of quality and accomplishment is fantastic. Just the sheer thickness of the suspension arms is incredible.

And so the build starts...

A good bit later...first time doing Diffs. Proved to be fiddly and jesus is diff oil messy...

We are getting there...by now I probably have about 10-12 hours in this build. Just the motor missing! Building the shocks was simpler than I thought it would be. The Tekno kit is so well put together and with very few exceptions, the manual is terrific.

to be continued soon!

True, the ET48 doesn't need a TBR front bumper unless you plan on plowing other cars out of your way. They're mostly made for weak cars.

My worry is that its going to cause the car to dig in when it nose dives rather then just roll thru like it normally would, definitely will impede the machines ability to safely land a jump, it will not be able to land with nearly as an aggressive angle of attack as it would stock... Truggies have the wheels very forward and it allows the machine to land nearly vertical and still drive out with some throttle ....If I was doing demolition derby type stuff I could see that bumper helping, or If I was continually 90 degree pogo sticking the landings I would consider it.... Maybe if you were doing Kamikaze backflips it could cushion a really bad pogo sticking landing, but it will come at a price and the machine will want to dig in when it normally would not have...

I've never had any digging issues w/mt TB bumper, but I never run regular truggy tires. I have had the TB ET bumper catch on upside down/bad landings. The TB EB48 bumper should also fit the ET, & it's smaller.

0verkill: can you post a picture of your battery tray perhaps? You mentioned that you modified it to take larger batteries. Any recommendations?

thanks
