Default Shock Cartridge Tool

Planning on doing a rebuild on my shocks. The plastic tools for the shock cap and cartridge are a one time use only tool IMO. I looke pretty much everywhere it couldn't find say an aluminum one that would fit the giant 22mm cartridge. Anybody use something different than the plastic tools?

I used mine quite often, but you can also use a box end wrench, a open end wrench, or an adjustable wrench.
Or a deep wall ( well? ) socket if you do not need the shock fully extended.

Does anybody know how to convert an OS .28 xz to a spin start / rotostart? I mean what exact parts are actually compatible?

Try posting in the nitro off-road forum or starting a new thread, this is a thread specifically for the brushless XXL so you may not get any good answers.

I seem to recall seeing somebody do this conversion once so it should at least be possible, but I can't recall what parts they needed.

I believe at one time I looked into it. I don't think you can, as there is no pin on the OS crank.

I think it would be easier to design a bump box for the LST versus a new crank for the OS 28ZX.

It was done by somebody in Australia, way back when on lstforums.. I don't remember the details of how it was done, but I think it wasn't simple..

I do
You need a crank and its not worth it.
going from a roto start to bump start was easier...just remove the pin on the end of the crankl.
Either way that was always a pain and risked the engine if you don't know what you are doing.
Get a pull start engine and convert its easier and you don't have to mess with the crank.
