a couple of things

1. OS always seems to underestimate their numbers, this is useable power while 28,000 rpm may not sound like much you getting almost 3hp in a reasonable amount of time through the rpm pull.

2.and yes its torque,in my opinion at our track anyway maybe not on some of the bigger tracks ill sacrifice top end for lower end grunt.

hi gijoe64,

i hope you dont mind me asking this here, but did you have anything to do with the 21vzb v-spec?

i have a new one in my buggy and so far it has been wicked but i noticed aproblem when breaking it in the glow plug area was filling with nitro so i double checked the plug to make sure it was tight and it was, well last night was the first time i had a chance to race it and it was perfect blowing nice smoke the hottest it got was 224 and it was because it was out of gas the whole rest of the time it was temping between 189 and 215.

i would make 2 laps and then temp it i did this for 5 tanks(i have close to a gallon on the motor now)and everytime i shut it down there was nitro all over the glow plug,i can blow on the head while its running and it makes no change it idles all day long fires right up and runs as long as i want it to.

i guess my question is do other companys plugs fit different?

i had the stock plug it leaked
i had an o'donnell it leaked
i had a novarossi it leaked
then i tried a dynamite and it leaked

im thinking its the head so i took it off and it looks to be seating good but fuel is definitely coming up around the plug.

any suggestions?

thanks steven

And you know this by directly running an XTM 24.7 Pro next to the OS .30, in the same vehicle, right?

Replace the head, or you're installing the washer wrong on the glow plug.

And if you don't like seeing the the LST/Revo posts, just skip it. No one's forcing you to read it.

nope, since i first started it up,at first i thought it was from loosening the glow plug to let start easier. but even now all the way tight it still leaks.

Steven, could you please send the engine into Hobby Services they will have to replace the inner head here is the phone number 217-398-8970. It seems to be that the threads on the inner head are not tapped right.

Any news on the OS Max-30? I am very much looking forward to getting my hands on this new engine! I just hope it lives up to the OS Engines reputation for quality, and reliability!
