Check out my MT4, I've made it like a real truggy but on steroids. It can handle extreme bashing.

Default Gens Ace 5s 5300mah 30C

Has anyone tried the Gens Ace 5s 5300mah 30C in their MT4 as I am wondering how well it fits? I have compared the dimensions of the Gens Ace against that of the battery tray and it is very borderline. The other potential issue with the Gens Ace is the positioning of the balance and charge cables on opposite sides of the battery. Option B would be the Turnigy 5s 3000mah 30C packs but I have had good experiences with the Gens Ace batteries and would prefer to stick with them if possible.

Going to be picking one of these up in the next month to have as a second basher with my flm emaxx. Are there any spare parts that I should buy to keep on hand. Nothing worse then a day of bashing ruined by some stupid two dollar part.

Taken from the Wondertiger.com website:
  • all hinge pins (get digidem's replacements)
  • body post mounts
  • body posts (get digidem's replacements)
  • rear arms
  • front knuckles
  • rear axle carriers
  • body shells

The most easily breakable hinge pins are the rear 3mm ones with the flat spot.

Arms , knuckles, and axle carriers do not break that easily, but if your going to bash really hard it wouldn't hurt to pick up some spares.

My body posts eventually broke but not as quickly as others...all depends how often you land upside down off of jumps

Hi guys i`m from Germany sorry for my english.
I have a question about running 5s lipo with Mamba Monster ESC and 2200KV Castle Motor i hope you can help me.
Can i run the system with 2 lipos in series one 2s and one 3s lipo?
Both are 4000mah 30c from same factory.
I mailed to Castle but they don`t answer.
Thanks!

Yes you can. You just need a series adapter cable.

I would use a heavier gauge cable than the traxxas series connector. Is that what you have? They are meant for 1/16 toys with mini lipos.

This is what I use

My mamba monster was pulled from an e-revo... So it was already wired for series running.

I use the castle series cable on another MT4 with the stock ACE ESC.

Itīs an Robitronic Hurricane the wires are already on the esc (series) 10 and 12 gauge.
Iīn my MT4 G3 i use one 5s pack but in the Hurricane i have 2 battery slots so i need 2 batteries my problem is 4s is a little bit to slow and 6s too much.
5s well be perfect i think,also in the MT4.
Iīm only scared tu burn my castle esc with two different packs.

I run mostly 5s in this truck with no problems. I use a Hyperion 2s 5000mah 45c lipo and a Hyperion 3s 5000mah 45c lipo in series.

Default Wires

I Bought one TT MT4-G3 but didnīt receive yet...
I would like to know if we really need that large wires from the motor to esc. COuld I shorten thatīs wires. I has a RC8Te that was powered by Tekin T8 and RX8, and since I make the conection, the wires was realy short...that would be fine if I cut the motor/ ESC wires?
Thank you
