He has the nostalgia. The price is insane imo but he's selling every new chassis he makes. He's going to quickly find the limit if he keeps raising his prices and turn people off though. Clodzillas were crappy back then, and they haven't changed.

That price is hilarious, but he will find people to be suckered into pay that.

I didn't think they were that bad, at least the 2 chassis with the cantilever shocks on it. The JPS gearboxes and axle tubes made it a lot better.

Follow up to my post made earlier, have body completed for my Shapeways Regulator Clodbuster. I need to reach out to JConcepts and see who they're going to have make parts with Shapeways closing.

If they don't find a new 3d vendor, you can always use stock tamiya parts and dremel the lower suspension arms for clearance. The true clodbuster experience! lol

I've got the same kit and emailed them the same question about a shapeways placement, but did not get a response.

Your build looks great!

At that point, I would go full retard and get some of those Hess Mfg. aluminum axle housings and go full metal axles, suspension etc. on the regulator chassis.

It's not so simple, as most of these regulators are built to race in the "retro" class which requires stock type ladder bars. Those ladder bars aren't compatible with the JC steering system without them being heavily modified, hence the JC shapeways ladder bars. The rest of the parts can be run stock or with Hesse substitutes.
