I know another run is in the long term plan, maybe a year or so out from that... They pop up from time to time, but the cost is extremely high due to collectors coveting them.

Thanks for that info. My hope is that the recent production run of new clod kits will generate some interest in the aftermarket kits as well.

way to many pages to filter through. so asking for a little bit of help. Want to get another Clodbuster. But we all know they suck stock. So I plan to get the Black Edition but was curious if there is any difference from the Super Clodbuster other then the blue plastic on the Super and the Red Plastic on the Limited. vs the OG Yellow plastic.

also MY OG Clodbuster was crazy Modified with a JSP Clodzilla IV Chassis with Cantilever Suspension and Oil Shocks Dual Modified 12T motors, Dual TekinG10 escs and Dual Batt, Dual axle mounted Servos.(kick myself for selling) I cant seem to find anyone that makes anything cool for these any more.. are there any aftermarket companies that make the Clodbuster Badass again?

You wont find all aluminum like the JPS and ESP stuff in the 80’s and 90’s but J Concepts is making chassis, there’s truly tons of companies still making parts, Crawford Performance, a bunch that primarily hang out on Facebook so I have no idea of them cause no FB for me.

There’s a lot out there if you want to look for it, I know a lot is more small niche companies so they are harder to find but you can make some ridiculous clod based monsters or even racers. There’s a reason the Clod is still being sold 30 years later

Thanks. Looks like a Ripper chassis and a bunch of other stuff like a stage 3 kit.

what escs, Motors, batteries, wheels and tires are the most recommended.

So I am looking into buying a Ripper pro or Rage chassis. I already have 2 Clods that have Time Warp chassis'. Between the Ripper and Rage which one is more durable and which one is best performance wise for jumping? Would I need any aftermarket braces or anything for either of these? Thanks for your help guys and gals!

soulcoma 03-01-2021 12:35 PM

could you post pics of your time warp builds?

I see the JConcepts guys using AE shocks on the Regulator Clod Builds. What shocks exactly are they using?

Shock body should be 12 x 36mm and shaft should be 3 x 35. I have the RTR version of the V2 shocks and this is what's in the manual.

Thanks for posting this. I have a Regulator kit but could not find any info about what body/shaft length they used. The customer service at Associated was very helpful suggesting combos it may be and I ended up with a combo that is about 103mm in length.
