Unfortunately they are vary outnumbered. The one guy with his rippers on brushed power tends to make it to the final 8 with one or two of his. Mine makes it to the 2nd round on most occasions. Its all really driver+ setup agreeance. I doubt I'd be fast with the fastest guys truck, and nice versa.


Diablos are no doubt the hot ticket right now. There is another chassis on the forefront that has quite a few really excited, and from what ive seen won't disappoint.

Been modding the Clod a little bit - just installed an aluminum chassis and painted the body. Still needs some things to finish up, but lovin' the retro look so far.

There is a link to one of his chassis', he makes several other types of chassis' including a 6x6. Only thing is that his prices have increased since late last year. The auction for mine started at only $80 compared to $100 now.

so after many years i have decided i want to built a new toy for around the house. i used to have a txt-1 back in the day and loved that chassis! but i hated the center motor mount as with the torqe of the motors the truck always wantedto roll to one side. ive seen photos on here of a txt-1 chassis that appers to have the stock clob style axles under it. does anybody know who make the parts that allows you to hook the txt links to those axles?

Like that? ^ Ive driven that particular truck and while the torque twist still exists its not all that bad. Defiance Racing I believe is what the 'company' is called who made it. Not sure if he still makes them anymore though.

Basically that kit flips the transmission upside down and with modern brushless technology you only need one motor to be competitive. So a lot of the torque twist is eliminated by no longer having two motors. It still does it, and really there is no way to eliminate it completely. Stiffer sway bars can help but it never gets rid of the problem entirely. Heck even the 1:1's have it when they leave the line hard etc.

lower CG helps against too much leaning + rear suspension geometry : I think a lower mounting point (on the chassis) of the upper arms gives less leaning

and of course thicker shock oil
