I have a Bullhead that I run outside sometimes. I just got it running last night.
Im impressed by the speed control and motor choices I chose.
I chose an LRP Quantum Competition(rated for 5 turn brushed single motors) and dual HPI Firebolt 15T motors.
It's pretty fast with this setup For your Clod bashers out there looking
for another speed control and motor combo look no further.

The PRP Berzerker are really nice and are great race chassis, and so are the Thunder Tech Racing Ripper Pro if you can find one, since they have been out of production for a while.

Jon Zyck just came out with a nice chassis called the Diablo.

You have 3 options for carbon fiber chassis
The berzerker at around $410
The ZRP Diablo at around $350
And the CPE terminator at $180ish for just the chassis - $250 for the kit

The berzerker is probably the top of the line chassis out if the 3 but production is iffy at the moment and is more complicated design

The ZRP is slightly behind the berzerker, but is easier to setup and is slightly cheaper, production is a certain thing though when they say they are going to sell them.

The CPE is the best in price but doesnt have the following of the berzerker or Diablo or the overall design quality as the the other two. But its good for beginners

Noobish question (sorry)... but how do those compare to the Clodzilla kits? I had a friend with a Clod in the 80's when I was a teen. Went into 1/10 buggy racing instead. I've got the itch to get a clod going now, after all these years. Back in the day he ran a Clodzilla kit and was pretty pumped about it.

Titan 550's with an EVX2 esc also work if you want bigger motors, you will have to not the arm though, as the back of the motor rubs it. I'll post pics of mine later today

You forgot one truck. The xrteme carbon fiber xc2. It's not wildly used so the truck you bring to the track would be different from everyone elses. I can't speak for its performance, but the design is fairly standard. Form the limited reviews I've read about it, it seems capable. retails around $310

If your interested in fun, bashing around the back yard any of the clodzilla kits are great. Their limitation lay in the fact the they are extremely heavy. The weight taxes motors, they tend to shake them selves apart, and they are not very adjustable. The newish clodbuster kits allow you to adjust everything in the truck to cater to what you want out of the truck. Whether that is racing, bashing, shelf queen, etc.

The last clodzilla I put together weighed in at around 8 pounds. Was lots of fun, but in turn it was so limited to what I could do with it that as part of my collection of car & trucks it got labeled as a basher and spent most of the time in the closet. The all metal construction tended to shake it self apart and I was forever fixing and scrounging for stuff to keep the thing running.. I didn't regret buying it, it just is what it is.

CPE also has an aluminum Predator chassis similar to the Terminator chassis that is less expensive and can be used for general bashing.

The Diablo is awesome, I have 2. The Terminator is great too.

CPE has a lot of upgrades for the stock chassis too, to make it more durable.

I had a Clodzilla IV and was disappointed with it.Now I have a Thunder Tech ripper(first version) and light years better then the clodzilla IV in every way.
