He races(and runs) in the Illinois RCMTCMI series

1 esc relegates you to brushed motors as there are no dual motor brushless esc's

From last race.

BigStu 03-11-2015 06:21 AM

What brushed motors do you want to run?

Jeepgc 03-11-2015 08:47 AM

Idk that's the thing I don't want to be slow. N idk if 27 turn will be good. Or maybe I need 19t any help would be good

15t firebolts are pretty decent. Look for a Novak Super Duty esc with a LVC for the lipo battery and you should be set!

Made some more changes to my Clod, went with 2 wheel steering from a bumper mounted servo - works much better and handles better at high speed than the stock 4ws.

Hey Sammy whats up man!? I was surprised when I found that sticker in my sticker drawer - thought I used up all my BYT stickers years ago.

Have you tried to PM chris over there?

DarkSammy 04-21-2015 08:28 PM

I haven't I must admit, but have seen one or two threads created on the subject in the past and it hasn't lead anywhere unfortunately...

mrgrimm 04-22-2015 04:26 AM

Yeah the whole site in general has really slowed down the last couple years.

Has anyone ever kept using the stock black plastic control arms, but removed the lower supports and anti-rotation brackets in favor of two actual upper links? I wonder how well it would work?

I am trying to figure out the best place to try and mount the upper links to the axles...
