Yeah they will fit fine. One of our race trucks here has Traxxas Maxx shocks on it.

I'm looking to buy a Super Clodbuster kit in the next couple of weeks or so. I would like to upgrade the motors, ESC, and shocks all at the time of the build. Any suggestions? I've read through this thread and see a lot of suggestions for the EVX-2, this is the traxxas ESC right? I look on eBay and see different varieties and part numbers. Is one better than the other or should I get a 16.8v and call it good? If I am hooking two motors up to it what is the max I can run in terms of turns? Also what about batteries? Should I run with one or two? How much does the clod have to be modded to run two batteries?

This is my first Clod but not my first RC. First 4x4 electric MT though and I don't know much about the dual motor set up, so sorry about the nOOb questions.

Thanks,

-Joe

I run a Novak Super Rooster with (2) 15t firebolt motors and a 5000mah Trunagy lipo pack.

I my out law truck I run a Novak Super Duty with (2) 10t Trinity Speed gem motors and a 5000mah Trunagy lipo pack.

I get about 5-10 min run time

Are you running a stock chassis or a after market chassis. I would say go with a 15t to 17t motor that way you get descent speed w/ longer running time.

I am planning on starting stock except for the shocks, motors, and ESC and then see where it takes me. If I get an EVX-2 I can run that off of one battery right? You don't HAVE to run two do you?

No Sir....I run the EVX2 in my ClodKing. EVX2 is perfect for me. 1 battery...up to 16.8V. I run 3S in my truck...really fun. I'd love to see if I could squeeze 4S in there

Thanks! That is what I figured, but you never know. Maybe they wired it so one battery fed one motor. I just got one on eBay for $60 shipped. Now to pick out a couple motors and some shocks...

Nice trucks. How do you like the ground pounder? I read that with softer shocks it works well. How durable has it been?
