The New maxxes are about the same price as the old one. The sport maxx may be a lil cheaper or the same price as the usual maxx.

i have been viewing videos of monster trucks including the BFT and SAVAGE21 and i'm decided to purchase the TMAXX 2.5 as my first truck! i wonder what are the necessary hop-ups for the maxx?

what parts do usually break or replaced? thanks!

The maxxes, actually there pretty tough. I have all stock parts and I abused mine like night and day. You will like the 2.5 motor, stay away from MIP pipes and boost bottles. MIP pipes had TONS of power but will hurt your engine because there is little or no back preassure going back to your engine, witch your engine needs. The boost bottlle just draws more fuel for the engine and works off the impulses of the motor, creating your motor to overwork its self. Other than that any hop up will do fine

I busted the living daylights out of my original T-maxx and have had few problems. In 2 and a half years( i think ), I have replaced my skidplate (front or rear I don't remember, but it was the one without steel thing under the plastic skid) with another plastic skid, hingepins (don't hit solid stuff in midair ), the body and got nice Mulchers for treads.

I am going to get the New engine and kick my friends butt (too bad I showed how bad he tuned his OFNA, then I wouldn't need this new one ).

I think teamatlas is right fireblade. Who are your sources fireblade because you need to put them in check. They are making you look like a fool. It draws more fuel from your tank? LOL! what time you going to the track tomorrow?

hold on now yall, it works of the impulses off the motor to draw more fuel off the carb,(according to Modaire hobbies). But it might be true to,why? cuz it sucks more fuel from the carb right? creating more fuel to be thrown into the motor, gives you more low end. I blew my ole skool maxx motor cuz of that. But it was fast off take off though

People like the late Ron Paris said that these should theoretically work, but because of the size that they are, they really are not good enough to be a serious performance need and are more looks. They may work, but i prefer to look elsewhere for more power.

The Fantom's are fast. But you may have it so lean it gives out so much performance its gonna blow! Ive seen the traxxas engines ported and it helped but it wasnt nothing spectacular. The traxxas 1.5 engines are fast. If it was me ide go with mugen or a Nova Rossi
