bummer i missed most everyone today..
randy his son had to work and adam was there around noon,
i had to leave shortly after..
my 1:18 clears the table (nice work guys!)
i got to go through about 3/4 of ONE battery in the whole time i was there
due to the continuous breaking and flipping of my mini.
i got to do a lap and a half before the motor started to act as if the sensor wires were being pulled loose from inside the rotor cap..
i twisted the motor 180 and took some tension off the harness which seemed to be a temporary fix for now (new motor on the way from a-main)
after a successful lap or 2 i did the double a couple times landing on the rear end and cartwheeling down the track into the following corner.
a subsequent crash caused a bell crank ball end cap to crack and make the toe on the front resemble britney spears eyes.. zip tie fix and new ones on the way..
couple more laps i figured the timing of the double.
the little car actually responds pretty well to the throttle in the air.
letting off right after the lip leveled it out perfectly just about every time.
i ended up shiny side down in the far right corner and proceeded to drive while i was standing on the track.
i failed to line up correctly on the double and it once again claimed another plastic part.
a ball actually pulled out of the rear shock tower stuck in the rear tie rod.
let out some rod, attached to the inner hole and i was on my way again.
new rr tower on the way.
so today aside from the $40 i gave to adam for my membership and track fee
i ended up with a pretty costly day:
rougly $50 for a new motor
about $6 for ball end caps
thinkin $5 for a shock tower kit
and threw in i think $104 for a transponder (gotta have one anyway)
someday ill have a car i can actually race and not worry about it.
mark, u got another 1:12 for sale?
i saw the one adam bought and fell in love.
1:8 is nice but freeeeeeekin money to even get involved!
good luck everyone on sunday (hope the locals take it!)
maybe ill be able to sneak away but who knows....

elsewhere- I have a CRC Gen X you can have for $50. No body or tires.
I think what you should look into is a 4x4 SC truck. I have a feeling that will become one of the more popular classes. If you want to venture into 2wd I would still suggest an SC. Aside from 1/8 E, 2wd SC has been one of the bigger classes this year.

The hypers running today were wicked!
Adams seemed ballistic in qualifying. Too bad I had to leave early.
Took a few pics today.
The bluegroove at the base of the double was sick!

things may be different for my plans now..
seems the sensor wires for my motor have pulled out of postion in the bell
end cap..
the motor stutters and responds diffently while i put pressure on the harness
coming out of the motor..
ive got a new one on the way as of monday but who knows if it will get here in the mail this week or next..
it would have to be later in the afternoon after the mail gets here
IF all works out....

I'll watch the board here so lemme know, if you go i'll meet you out there. I finally got my TQ racing Short course going and it needs some tuning laps.
