Well unfortunately my friend the only mods left to do are more on the boring side. I looking into installing maybe a JATO unit or something along thos lines :-)
No seriously, im working on an on board video camera like the one in the helicopters you can buy an also a GPS/Speedometer to track her course and speed. Should be super cool

LMAO!! That would be sweet to see. I'm picking up a 4100kv and the 5300kv next week. Can't wait to do some testing. I'm thinking the 4100kv on 2s will do great for the track, and I'll use the 5300kv on 3s for bashing and speed runs.

Just wanted to let everyone out there know that Venom batteries IMO are terrible batteries. Ive went through 2 3s and 1 2s in a matter of days. Everything from bad cells, wires becoming disconnected, Unbalancing after 2 runs, etc...
Maybe its me, maybe its the price, maybe there just caca but me and Venom are no longer talking. Please feel free to comment and possibly suggest a better battery that will fit in my little speed demon.

we run Zippy 1600mah flightmax 2s, not a high C rating but for the price you cant beat em.

Im looking for a good 3s. As you can see, my car is a street ride made for pure speed. It looks like im gonna have to dish out the $50 for a Losi 3s. I really loved my 3s when it ran. Super violent speed. Slammed into a Traxxas Funny Car, at about 50mph, bending the dog bone about 12 degrees, cracking a stock rim, twisting the A arm about 6 degrees and completely losing both steering turnbuckles. It was awesome. He drove away, I was catapulted into the neighbors yard :-)

0808 is what a 20 to 24mm can? An upgrade for the CM20, more so then the CM26 is it not?
A 4100kv vs a 4500kv the 4100kv will be slower, it does not get the same rpm per volt as the 4500kv 4pole or not, the 4 poles and lower kv will give you more low end tq, the higher kv editions of the 0808 will be faster. Theoretically the 4pole 4100kv may handle higher gearing, but being in a smaller can if so and how much is in question. Going to a bigger can allows already higher kv and taller gearing than the stock 4500kv motor I don't think the 0808 is enough motor to compete with them.
I suggest getting a temp gun.
Temps may not always be as they appear & your exact temp is needed... & Radar for your speed, the M8 seems much quicker then it is. My MERV pushing 55mph on its stock electronics doesn't feel as fast as my M8 hitting 50mph on aftermarket electronics. Heck the M8 feels faster at 40 to 45mph, it feels more like a tiny jet then the MERV that is bigger much more bulky and not as low to the ground, but in the end the MERV is the faster of the two.
From experience The Momba Micro Pro is not enough ESC to really push the M8 fast on 3s, you need more than 45amp burst to push crazy speeds with it. The Momba Micro Pro is 30/unknown, probably 40 to 45amps and it will get hot on 3s pushing tall gearing with the M8. The M8 needs more ESC, the solution is simple. Sidewinder 3, not the micro bro. Cheap and it will take 3s on any motor you can fit in the M8. I think a S3 and velineon will take more gearing then a 0808 hitting much faster speeds. A Neu 1112 will be nutso
Put the 0808 in the RC18 to push crazy speeds. I don't see the 0808 as a viable performance motor in a 14th scale M8. With any luck they will release a 26mm version that would be perfect for the M8

It is a 20mm can and I agree 100% with what youve said. When I put in just the motor and esc with a stock battery, I could tell right away it was not faster at all. way more torque and much better throttle and brake but over all faster, not at all. Now if I did a Mamba 2 and a 2668 or even a 380 on stock batteries, now youre talking super fast.
Over all I am happy with it. It runs good, super cheap and adding a 3s will surely top it out @ a speed that I will be satisfied with. Fastest M8? Not at all. Fast? Yes but there are configs out there that are potentially lethal and down right dangerous. Thats what ill try next :-)

I have the CM2646 and its a beast of a motor, just not that quick. Ive seen a guy run 70's with a Momba Max Pro and CM2690 but the motor fried from him running 3s through it. I thought of trying the CM2660, bu I wasn't impressed with its performance when others tried it.
I have the 4pole HET 6000kv & it is nutso fast on 3s, but had issues with low c rated batts, with a 3s capacitor helping the higher c rated batts though its all good, but needs more ESC then the Momba Micro Pro to get the most out of it. However I wouldn't go offroading in dirt with the HET as its a funjet motor and not designed to handle dirt and whatnot.
Same gearing and the velinion is pretty much just as fast as the Xcelorin, the higher efficiency & lower kv sorta cancel each other out BUT it will take much higher gearing without frying the back of the can off though so it will go much faster.

Have you pushed 2s or 3s hard on that system yet?

Oh yeah!! For the last 2 months every Friday night we all meet @ my house and run our creations. Nitros, Crawlers, Funny cars etc. My battery of choice has been a Venom 2000 20c 2s lipo. Fully charged id get about 20-30 50 yard passes up my street. Car seemed to go faster with each run. Once the battery was done, id bring the car back inside, check everything out, re charge and back out she went.
No 3s yet. Cant find a small enough battery. Researching that now.

I have that batt and its low c rating gave me issues with HET 6000kv
