Grim is right though threads like this are useless without pics and that Micro Sidewinder wont be enough unless you find some way to cool it down .

Good luck !
Indeed, I'm not closing it down yet, but if I see any more flaming or profanity, it WILL be closed. Just remember to respond to others as you would want them to respond to you....

How many posts do you have to have in order to upload images?

I'm pretty sure you can do it after ten post. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure.

Well with a 20t pinion he will be able to get the speed he needs. I got 21t in mine so I know it will fit. I am curious as to whether the Sidewinder micro will work with the 0808.

Did some test runs yesterday and niether speed controller nor the motor were overly hot. Im quite impressed with the spped so far. I had to remove the 20t becuz of space. it was just to tight up against my HR 60t spur. Went with a Losi 16t and after a full batterry drain, the 16t was destroyed. I have pics so ill get thos up later.

I present my little red rocket. I am happy how she turned out. Nice clean color scheme with some bling to go with it.

Mounted my Castle 0808 in there with plenty of breathing room. My Venom 2s sits nicely with the wires rerouted under the driveline.

Installed my Robinson Racing Hard Aluminum 20t pinion and my Hot Racing 60t Steel spur.

The Micro Sidewinder ESC and reciever fit nicely up top with a nice clean install all around. The body just drops on with no hassle.

Well there ya have her. Shes a beauty and cant say enough good things about my Mini8.

....oh yeah almost forgot, its WICKED FAST! Fully charged 2s I get about 20 50 yard speed runs and it seems like it goes faster each time. ESC gets warm, motor does get hot but not like blistering hot but its hot like it should be. Smooth reaction time, great tracking but I have to be very gentle. She will do standing back flips without even trying. Im going to try and film her and GPS track her speed this weekend.

Stay tuned.

One sexy good looking ride! That motor is a 20mm can? Or 24mm can?

Please explain what brand and model are those tires and those rims! And what color is on the body (brand, specs)?
Thanks!

And of course make a quality video showing it and runing it!

Look's good! I agree you could get better performance with a micro pro. Here's a vid of my mini 8ight hitting 51mph on 3s scorpian 4600kv 6pole heli motor with a kaboom body. Subscribe!

The motor is a 20mm can. Both the wheels and tires are found on Thetoyz.com and the body which is a standard red body with the stickers removed was purchased on Ebay. Thanks for the nice compliment.

With a lot of more fets you get more speed/torque out of your motor!
They push more current out of your batery to your motor!

I come from the Miniz world and stacking fets is like triplin the power using the same motor!

So a bigger ESC (meaning more FETS, basically) will provide more punch/speed out of the same motor!

From miniz's:

-Notice the stack of fets... the board stock only have 4 fets. 2 up 2 down. She's got 6 up and 6 down(aftermarket fets)
Yep overkill, i know, but that's the only way to be RC IMHO!

Well unfortunately my friend the only mods left to do are more on the boring side. I looking into installing maybe a JATO unit or something along thos lines :-)

No seriously, im working on an on board video camera like the one in the helicopters you can buy an also a GPS/Speedometer to track her course and speed. Should be super cool
