They quicken the steering reaction of the car quite a bit on parts of the track that has S turns and 180's it very noticeable. Still working on a good basic setup but it's fun to drive. 50t motor is so fast could never imagine how people can drive the hotter 32t motors.

Has anyone tried this? I don't mind TOO much grip, id rather that than too little, as id like to use the rwd cars.

Is there anything similar in the US?

Looks like #15 felt paper to me. Should be available at most home improvement stores.

Yep something like this -
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Warrior-R...14-0/100086691

After the quick test I did on the track, the grip is great. Should make for some good racing. I decided not to glue down the surface, instead using some 2x2 with t nuts and bolts, I will clamp down the surface at each end of the track. Now that the garage is almost complete (new house etc) Ill be back to completing the basement track soon.

On my MR03VE, I have to use brakes often as the LM (TS020 body) just keeps coasting freely and not much steering without braking. It's quite fun though.

Is your track big enough to run your m-chassis?

at a crawl, yes, but up to what the m chassis can do, no. Way too small. M chassis needs a full 1/10th track to do its thing. I am designing the track for Miniz and possibly a few Micro RS4s

I see. GL on finishing the MiniZ track. There cars are so fun to drive, and the body detail is exactly where I want them to be for all my RC cars. I too have a MicroRS4, but thing is in the back of the shelf right now just taking a nap as the MiniZ's were so much better than I imagined, even the MR03-Sport trim.

I hope to get a 4WD one later this winter to try (right now got too many m-chassis projects I want to complete).

I found the AWD ones very similar to running touring car. Great fun to drive. Ill post more detail pics once the track is completed

Sweet I may pick up a roll on the way home tonight. Do you use foam or rubber tires?

Rubber. the one car I tested on it had some good understeer, rear was stuck, and they seem to be atomic rubber tires. unsure of what shore. But considering the grip level, I don't think you will be unhappy with any rubber tire on this surface. But as others have said, you have to keep it relatively clean.

This is a pretty good deal for getting started. I'll be adding one of these to my collection soon.

With that wide L and my current RCP I'll be able to make some pretty big layouts.

so i ordered the wide L set from the minizrcstore, cant wait for it to get here! this is by far the best deal ive seen for them it was on sale $189 no tax and free shipping on my order! just the savings in shipping is awsome! if it comes thru as ordered ill let you know.
