Here's the secret setup. Shhhh....

Green springs front with added o-ring, soft wide tires front and back = hooked up!!

k_bojar 05-12-2008 10:18 AM

heheh...

I'll have to give it a try :)

I only have soft rears, was going with the stock ones up front - worse case, I got my GQ foams :D

I gotta hot tip on a shock alternative. I'm going to check it out today. Will post tonight on if it works.

Okay here's what I bought earlier tonight.

http://www.target.com/Radlines-Oil-F...Ashocks&page=1

They are the right length and seem to be really smooth. 4 shocks with 3 different springs, and connectors for both ends. Oil filled too. I opened one up and it really does have an oil resevoir and a piston. The ball cup is a bit small for the ball studs on the EXO3. I'll either use the provided ball studs or cut the cup to loosten it. I also need to fabricate a custom mount for the top end of the shock. It's going to be a bit more work then I thought, but it should work killer. I'll post pictures when I get somthing mocked up.

EXO 3 MOTOR WIRE

Mike, On your Exo 3 instructions you say to replace the motor wire with 18 AWG silicone wire.Do you know how to get inside the Mambas or do you just cut the wires close to the can and splice them? Also, do you know of a good source for red, black, & white silicone wire?

Rapid Roy 05-15-2008 09:54 AM

www.blindbatts.com has the wire. The web site having some problems, but Kevin answers emails.

Wow, its really quiet in here. Especialy since one18th is down. Just raced my EXO1 again this last weekend and ran 2nd behind a RC18 with a mamba and a 6800 motor. My Fireball worked great the 1st race, but seemed to get a bit softer this last race. I really don't race electric so can any of you recomend a maintenance regimine or even some advice on keeping the performance up on micro brushed motors?

Micro-Man 05-28-2008 07:30 PM

seeing how the fireball is a sealed can you can only do so much to it.....best thing is to clean it out after a night of racing with motor spray and then put a drop of bearing oil on both ends of the shaft to lube it back up.....that is pretty much it unless you were able to to change the brushes also......

Thanks. I'll just have to do that until I get a Mamba setup. Almost ready to order.

does anyone have a spare brass ball and screw for the duallink kit? I am trying to get my micro rs4 back up and running and I am missing that part.
