Hey, just wanted to post my race results today. I didn't get all my parts to get my EXO3 up and running, so I ran the trusty EXO1 with NMhi batteries and the fireball motor. The car was hooked up and the motor was ballistic. If finally figured out a tire/spring combo that was killer. Qualified 2nd behind Mike who was in another world. He cake walked using a 18T with his special chassis. I had great qualifiers and a good main going until my rear tires decided to partialy let go from the rims. They would baloon up at higher speeds and make the car turn suddenly right. Had lots of fun though.

Yes, your car was a rocket ship. Think faster than mine down the straight:eek: Was fun racing!

Mike - any chance of you posting a couple pics of your chassis WITH your electronics mounted?
I found a way to get the HS81MG in the 140mm chassis, now just trying to see how to run the wires :) Thanks Kaybo |
get the 82mg
the 81mg has centering issues ;) or you can go with the s3102mg from futaba, thats what i use on my m18 |

I've need using hitec micro servos in my cars since the mRS4 first came out - and don't really see a need to change now :) I actually ran some model futaba in my m18 - didn't like it, and switched back to the hitec... |

I was just looking at the fitment of the battery too. Did you remove the shrink wrap or did you mount it up off the chassis with shims?
That's kinda why I wanted to see a pic or 2 of Mike's cars :) Roy - do you have the 140 or 150 chassis? |

I would but I for the life of me cannot find my EXO3 roller. I'm afraid my 2 year old stuffed it somewhere in the shop:cry: From what I recall the battery wire faced forward and to the right of the servo if that helps, mamba on top of battery and micro spektrum left of the servo.
I was test fitting mine with the wires on the left side of the chassis (drivers side) with the spektrum receiver there as well.... I'm still waiting for the day my 2year old does something similar - luckily she's still a little afraid of them  Mike - any chance of coming up with another option for the side springs?? I tried ordering the HPI parts of they are all outta stock - even the like the Roy sent me..and over the years I've ditched most of these type extras :flaming: |

They used to make alloy dampers so maybe he has spares laying around his factory?... What about also Micro T shocks? pretty cheap and worth a shot. |

I also have the 150mm chassis and will move everything over once I get all my parts. I just checked amain and the part is in stock. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/10167 |

I orderded and received that part from www.amainhobbies.com last week. Give them a try. RCboyz only sent me one. The part I just received was missing the extra shock shaft. Good thing I have an extra one from before. Now I can't find the 1st set I received from RCboyz.

I'm having a little bit of a delema though. Last race the EXO1 ran so well I want to run it again. I'm sure I can get the EXO3 to run at least as well. I got a some advise from another racer (I don't even know his name) that was commenting on my car/chasis. He used to run 1/12 pan at So Cal raceway and said they always ran the front as stiff as possible and the rear as soft as possible. I stiffened up the front and the car was on rails. |
