Mine was a little stiff when I first built the car - but after a couple of runs on the track it loosened up greatly, now its all "floppy" :) and easily goes side-to-side :lol:

Okay, I got it now. Its not quite floppy, but pretty loose. I got everything together. Solid front, lipo, and for now, my trusty fireball. I just need to solder the deans to the battery. I'll post pictures tonight. I'll also need to ask a good samaritan at the race to charge my battery because I had a major brain fart and forgot to order an Ice charger. :o

Here is our new Micro Rs4 chassis. it carries 6 cells and has room for electronics. Could be used as drifter chassis.

The kit front tires didn't work for you? Try running the front wheels much much wider too (or the rear very narrow if the front body is narrow)- settles the steering down. Also you should try and cut the motor plugs off and solder 18guage wire direct to the motor leads. The stock motor wires and plugs tweaks the rear pod.

I'm hoping we get another HPI challenge here at the end of the year. Itching to race mine again after seeing your east coast event :)

I tried kit fronts w/soft rears - tried kit fronts and rears - tried foam fronts w/soft rears (worked great until the track heated up) - tried hard foam fronts w/soft foam rears --- and ended up with a car that kept traction rolling if I adjusted the steering too much...There was 2 more things I wanted to try, but ran outta time - adjust my steering EXP down it like -100% (was at -71%) and put softer springs on the rear side springs...

You hard-wired your BL motor?? :confused: Any chance on sending over a pic of that?? when I run my brushed motors, I used that "no-tweak" 12th scale wire, but couldn't figure out a way to hardwire my BL motor :rolleyes:

I actually have a 2nd challenge down in MD this august (its only like 2.5 hours away), that I WAS planning on attending - but work might be getting in the way :flaming: plus not sure what the micro turnout would be at this place, ITS HUGE and primarily a NITRO only track :)

hello guys, i just purchase a second hand micro rs4.
How can i make thgis thing wicked fast?
Sorry just new to micro word. I currently installed team orion
brushless motor with novak spy esc and 1100mah orion nihm pack.
Everything is stock aside from rear balldiff and rear shocks.
What gearings should i use? Also, im sick of the battery mount. Its kinda hard to remove from the kit. Any suggestions and comments are welcome.

Your motor is coreless not brushless. Its a great motor though. Good power and lasts a long time. My suggestion would be to get a graupner speed 300/Orion big block size motor and a set of steel pinions. The 300 size motor will need a larger pinion in the 12 to 14 tooth range. Your selection will depend on your track. It looks like you have a 6 cell battery pack. If not, get a 6 cell pack.

Thanks for posting a picture with everything installed. I got my car put together and couldn't make the last race. Now I've gone a picked up a Mamba 5400. I'll post pictures once I get it put together again. I also picked up a Triton Jr charger for my Apogee lipo.
