Angrymelon,

Did you upgrade the steering servo?
Or did the stock steering work with the upgraded motor & ESC?

TIA.

Stock servo works fine with upgraded ESC and motor. They're both 3 wire which is a industry standard.

Hi all, just ordered one of these (16208 model) off banggood, got the 1 battery version, was hoping to get some aftermarket 2s batteries with bigger capacity. Are there any recommendations for batteries that fit ok? i see that some people cut a part of the plastic clip so longer batteries fit in.

Hi, I'm on the interwebs looking for the replacement shells.
I've searched via google. and found replacements shells:

H16BM, H16GT, H16DR, H16H, H16E, 16207, 16208, 16209, 16210.

I have my original shell H16DR.
I purchased the H16BM,
I really like the look of angrymelon's shell. I want one bad.
Anyone know of a place that sells them?

I'm also curious if anyone has tried put a 14209 or 14301 shell.
How much customization is required?

TIA.

Hi! I purchased a H16DR for my kid and we took it out today. Fresh AAs in the controller and full charge on the cars battery.

After 10 minutes or so the car would lose throttle signal. The wheels will still move left/right in response to the controller. But in order to get the motor to respond again the car needed to be shut down and connected again. I found a little repeatability in that I'd drive it away (30ft) and it would lose throttle response.

The indicator light on the ESC (Hosim RE353) is off (long) flash red (short) and repeats.

From the manual:
"Indicator Lights flash slowly"
A) Has lost the signal of the transmitter
B) Entering into the low-power state

What's going on? I'd rather not return it as I'm in Canada and it's from Amazon.com - part of me wishes I just went and bought the one from the hobby shop like I wanted to, but the kid had his eye on this one and I'm always buying him what I think is best rather than what he wants.

Try charging the Lipo battery fully and get rechargeable AA batteries.
also turn the the transmitter on 1st, then power the RC on after.

If that Fails, only suspect is you might have a bad transmitter and receiver.
This would be a good time to upgrade your transmitter & receiver.
I hope my suggestion has helped.

Good luck

It was a Surpass 35amp that I bought from Amazon with a motor. If I was going to do it again, id probably spend the extra to get the Hobbywing 16BL30 since I ended up going with a different motor anyway. The Hobbywing ESC is much smoother.

The motor is a Surpass 2445 3000Kv. Its quick enough for fun on 2S and a beast on 3S.

Default H16bm

Hey so im new to the hypergo forum and im in the middle of uprading my h16bm.. What differences are there of my H16BM and your H16P?Just curious because I purchased a 45a ESC and i believe a 2845 brushless motor and it doesnt quite mount up with my chassis but it performs really well honestly...any ideas on how i can properly mount these things to my chassis..obviously aftermarket look not oem. Also with the 3s this thing is stupid insane fast...im about to order the skid plate (stainless 110g) and the front bumper aluminum. You think itll hold up better to impact this way?

What about the 2845 doesn't fit, the screw pattern, or the motor can diameter? I haven't tried to run that large of a motor in mine. To answer your question about the differences, I don't think there really are any major differences of note, especially ones that would impact your ability to mount a motor.
