Hello All,
Woke up this morning feeling like hell so did not run the Daytona Series. I ran some laps yesterday and wanted to get them posted before the end of the month. Will fill in details tomorrow. Cheers, Jim. |

Nice run! I see the outer edge of your right rear was also rubbing the inside of the body like mine. I think the width/center of the Nexx RM motor mounts is off about 1 mm. What offsets are your rears and fronts?

January Results
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
It was looking like January was going to be a disaster for participation but turned out alright with 17 times posted and 7 competitors including a new driver, welcome Wamikka. Looking at the number we had some good competition going on in a number of classes and you can see some advancement from a couple of drivers....while other drivers (Yours truly) seem to be regressing. I wanted to mention the new Porsche Cup class which is basically the stock class but you must run a 86/90mm wheelbase rear mount and a derivative of a 911 body (934, 935, GT1, 996 GT3, 991 GT3RS). I am a huge Porsche fan so I love that Traveler suggested this. I will add the class to the rules page. I also wanted to mention the Daytona Race, I was way late on the trigger on this one, and after I published the details I was not happy with the format. I will start a new post to discuss options for fun races like this, especially since Sebring is coming up in March. Lastly, I would love to discuss ideas to bolster participation. The FB group has 310 members and we are getting 7 drivers. I know there are people who have tracks but for one reason or another do not join the fun. I am going to try to rattle some cages and see if we can get the people to join us and well as posting more on the FB page. Any ideas from you guys would be appreciated. With that, here are the results. Lap counter
I saw a post on Facebook yesterday about a phone-based lap counter called Mini 4wd Lap Counter V2. Does anyone here have any experience with it?

how did your times compare to 0 rears?
I dropped 278.65s/3.42s for January. Not spending a ton of time - I put on some fresh Markas and dropped 281.213/3.398. I had an issue going into the turn leading into the double hair pins. I also had issues at the exit of the 45 degree turn into the entry of the chicane which I didn't have with the 0 offsets. The car wasn't as flat. |
I realize I never posted the track for February.
