Still working on my Stock Brushed EVO and it's getting better. I brought the front wheels in .3mm by switching the .5mm shim to a .2mm shim inside the front wheel, as even with the .5mm shim and 0mm backspaced wheel the car would still catch the wall with light brushes. The .2 shim did the trick, and the wheels don't hang up unless i really brush the wall hard. I went to green front springs from red, tried both a PN Gear diff and GL Ball Diff, and the Ball diff is a bit more constant in it's handling. I also put the windows back in after shaving some weight off it. Cut out the center roof section, and took 1.2 gr off the windows. It actually helped the handling, and didn't cause any TR issues. I also went to a 10T pinion from a 12T that I had on my Porsche setup, and that added .2! Im at 100% throttle dr, so the next step is either going to a 54t spur, or a 50T taking it to ProStock. I have both, but the motor i a bit easier to change, so I'll probably start there.

Anyway, here's the numbers!

Well it's the last week of the month, so it looks like there were 3 popular choices for layouts. #2, #7, and #12. With my votes #2 has 4 votes, #12 has 3, and #7 has 2. So we can now choose between the 3 or we can go with the pre vote of #2.
All 3 look super fun, so I'm good with what Yall want to do!

Let me know, and have fun running those laps!!!

Supper Glad to have found this as I recently got into the Mini Z and bought a Mini-96 for the house. Definitely going to follow and set the track up and join this but do not think I will be placing at all as my box stock times are like average in the 7s on the base track with every now and then getting in the low 6s but dang y'all fast and look forward to having fun with this as it is a fantastic idea and glad to see its still going.

Well I'm still playing with my 94mm Brushed EVO MR03, and I got it pretty good with my 575M and ran a 5:30.041 with a 4.117 fast lap, and it was a pretty clean run. So I got a wild hair and stuck my McLaren 12C body on the 94mm chassis and it fit! I didn't change anything, just the front clip. and BOY DOES IT RUN AT 94mm!!!! With the same batteries (3rd ProStock run on this set) and ran

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...848428a00e.jpg

It looks a bit odd, but it STRAIGHT RUNS! I'll move the pod to 98mm and test again, but the batteries need charging and my brain needs a rest after running 8 runs in a row! This run was with my BoxStock 12C and I will run it with my 12C with Lexan windows to test too. I have PN KS1138 on 19mm printed wheels with #6 disk, rears are Marka V1R10 that are about half worn.

I can actually turn down the steering and throttle D/R down a click and get a better run! It had a bit too much power and steering compared to the 575M but I wanted a true body swap test!

WHO SAYS BODIES DON'T MATTER at this scale! I could easily hit 4.1s and 4 flats weren't too hard IF I watched my throttle control and didn't over shoot the 180s off the straights! If I have time I'll test my Brushed vs. Brushless with my ProStock and the 12C, but the end of the month is coming up fast!

Yall have fun turning those laps!

Out the first half of the month on vacay and didn't really have time to get back into the swing of things. Threw a few runs together just to have some results to post for the month.

Update *** since this is a holiday weekend, I'll be accepting times run until midnight on 9/1 and I'll tally them on the 4th.

ALSO

I know its a day early, but i thought some of you might have your laps done and ready to start September's layout a day early since im giving an extra day for August.
So after tallying the votes layout #2 was the winner no matter how i voted.
I think yall will like it, and hopefully Marwan can turn some laps, as i believe he is the only driver to have official times on it.
Enjoy yalls Labor Day, and have fun!!!https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e...1/16/1f601.png

Well got to do about 947 laps between the two cars over the past 3 days. Being new to the whole thing only a couple weeks old worked on trying to keep a nice consistent flow. Each time I have been able to get better and working to see where I can get too. Figure over time it will come and get faster but happy with putting up my first month of number. Will soon look to ask some questions on building a touring car as I want to run that at the local track and in this.

Lastly trying to find a timing system that I like am torn between Next Level Timing and Live Time. I like the fact that I can close out the session but you can look up the track and see all the races that have been ran to try and get the times down but hate there is a monthly fee. I like Next level Timing but hate I can not delete something where I mess up just starting a race that is never ran.

No photos on this post as I can not post due to not reaching the limited post needed to post pictures. I have them loaded on the Facebook page.

Notes-This was my 8th or so try and my consistency was only 95.17% because I had one really bad 5.4 second lap and a few 4.8-4.9 second laps, but this was the quickest overall time. Could probably find a couple of more seconds if I kept at it, but ran out of month.

Dampener (If applicable)-N/A

Gearing-7/44 Gear diff
Notes-This car is super light, but very stable and is one of the funnest to drive and watch going around the track! It runs great on both Narrow and Wide rears with no setup changes. Only 2 tries this month and beat my CW time, but only by 2 seconds. Car feels really slow. I tried spraying out and relubing the motor, but that didn't seem to help. At 96.58%, this was my most consistent run of all classes, but also the slowest by far. May need a different motor.
