My fastest Brushed 94mm Ferrari 575M PN70T was 329.174 with a 4.119 fast lap. and I this last run best my first almost perfect run by 4.811 seconds and fast lap by .078 seconds though it wasn't nearly as clean, but the throttle was up a few clicks more! I'll test on the new layout again. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...ac35b0be55.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...f7b20771bb.jpg |

The KSK tires are working well too. Just the loose nut behind the wheel causing issues!:p Testing with the ProStock Brushed vs. Brushless was MUCH CLOSER than Stock! I has 4 or 5 runs that were seperated by HUNDRETHS of a second over 75 laps!!! That was mainly with the 575M vs the Pink Jomu! THis will for sure be tested on the new layout!!! But after tweaking on this chassis some I got it to run VERY WELL with either the Porsche or MX-5 Body! Just a change in the front clip and dial back the throttle 3 clicks and the steering down 2 and the MX-5 is ready to race! I have 2 different models in my NB4 for each body to make the change easy. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...f74f8d4098.png https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2270f20538.jpg |

August 2025 Results
************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************** Ok Guys here's the August results, and we saw quite a few new faces! WELCOME Brendan Redler, Cory Cliff, Davud Dautbasic, Joe Gatell, Nathan Fenel, and Steve Aguilar!!! We hope yall enjoy running with us! This month I brought back the Box Stock Expert Class. This class was done to keep from discouraging new and learning drivers! There was never a set rule to make the jump, that I know of, so I just took the drivers who were within 30 seconds of the fastest car of the class. Does that work for Yall? There was some close racing, but the FASTEST was Traveler2 with a SMOKIN' 302.202 Stock run with a fast lap of 3.835! Everything was clicking on that run!!! Congrats! Thanks for running with us, and if I missed or screwed up something, just holler! |
Thanks Andy for leading the charge every month. But let's just keep stock all together. Sorry I brought it up. It just looks weird with so few racers and we already have so many classes I am noticing now.

OK, here's my first timed run for September 2025 layout. I ran it with my MX-5 as it was handling soo well a few days ago. I didn't change the steering settings for my run on the last layout, but at 86% throttle it felt SLOW, so after 20-30 warmup laps and getting to speed, I am at 100% throttle with a 12/53 Anima 3500kv, and IT RIPS!!! Just a slight hint of traction roll in the high speed 90*s but that's pinned at full throttle as soon as I come out of turn 6 till coming out of turn 2!
I was able to hit a few 4.1xx's and 1- 4.0xx, but had a few 6 second laps, so times should improve! ALSO I'm glad I made a tire order, as you can see in the pics, this is going to be an outside tire eater! That tire/track dust is just from around 100-110 laps. Very left hand heavy! https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...caf77ac40c.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...de2cbb55b9.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...a95c45155d.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...ca08f0c2d2.jpg |

rear outside eater for sure getting maybe .3 mm diameter difference after each run. i usually swap left to right every 2-3 runs anyway but for this layout it needs to be every run...

Tire compounds
Ok guys. Been kinda MIA do to work, but wanted to get a little discussion going on tire compounds and radial vs slick. Need to get my posts up too so I can post pics;) Haha.
Something I struggled with is the “counter intuitive” effects of tire compounds with mini-z. What I mean by that, is in general with RCP, softer equals less traction and harder equals more traction. I know this is kind of a blanket statement but that’s where the discussion comes in because I know I’m not the only one who struggles with tires. what was explained to me once was that soft is less side to side traction but more forward and back traction and harder is more side to side traction but less forward and back traction. This makes sense to me because a harder side wall will dig into the track more giving better corner traction and a softer compound will give better straight line traction. the Marka tire chart seems to go along with this. What are you guys thoughts on this and why it is or isn’t this way? also I started out running slicks all the way around thinking this would be best, but I have found now that I like a radial in the rear. Seems to actually be better traction. This also seems to be the norm. What are you guys experiences with radials vs slicks? |

I run slicks more than I run radials, but only because I run the radials almost down to nothing or because I can't keep up with others who have new taller radials in a spec geared class. This is more noticeable when running a large layout at the LHS. For M96, I find the car drives better when I can get lower ride height in the rear, so well used radials (no pattern left) or new slicks. I have heard the same as you, but when we get a new track layout that is dusty and dirty, the compounds don't act the same. |
