I will try this out. I lost my Robitronic LapTimer, but ordered a new one. So I hope I get that in a week or two.
Have to get my RCP track back from storage and dust it off.
My parts are in the country, but not at my house.
Ordered some more parts, since I think money can make me win....yeah right

What I will be trying out is the "new" Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 90mm wioth RM configuration.
Running with PN Double A-Arm if I can make it work and just a DPS.
I got Marka tires right now, used for another great big track. Not sure if those are the best for my old worn track.

At first I thought it was a misread. then i ran several laps sub 4.4 in a row and that lap felt better than those but I didn't think it was going to be that fast. I need to practice with the GLA and Evo to see how low I can get their times. I also have to work on consistency. Going camping in Georgia next week and trying to see if the wife would get upset if I took the track to practice just in case.

I am having a really hard time getting acclimated to running anti-clockwise.

Cheers,

Still having a hard time linking laps together going CCW but showing improvement.....it is hugely frustrating none the less.

Here is my Box Stock time sheet. With the exception of using a motor that I had “broken in” and my normal tire set up the car is truly Box Stock and I have not touched a thing yet. It actually feels pretty good with the exception of a big hop I get coming off the long straight.

With some more practice I should be able to get a 5.6’ish average.

Cheers,
Jim

I thought I would never get to where I left off time wise going clockwise. I kept with it and I ended up beating my best lap. I still have work to do with total race time but I’m improving every time I run. Consistency will come eventually and then I’ll end up starting over in July on a whole new layout. I consider this training. By the end of the year I should be able to run any layout with confidence. Just in time for the holidays up in NY. I’ll feel better about visiting a larger track up there.

Starting to feel better, I had a fairly decent run with the Box Stock car this evening doing a 426.2s and am starting to turn some quick laps with both my 90mm and LM cars both with Pro Stock motors in them currently. I changed out the very noisy spur/pinion on my 90mm car and the thing feels like a different animal, I kept the FDR very close to what I had before bit the car just feels so much faster......and it is a bucket load quieter. I also ran the GLA and was turning quite a few laps in the 4.8X range but then would just have a bad lap after bad lap.

With that said can I ask you guys just to edit your original time sheets for each class when you want to post new times as well as not adding a time sheet that shows a slower time than you have already posted. If we start to get more participants and everyone posts a new time sheet every time they run the bookkeeping at the end of the month will be a nightmare.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jim

Hello All,
I will fill in all the pertinent info in the morning.

I am finally feeling more comfortable going CCW. I got home to an empty house this evening and got quite a few laps in. First up was my Stock car which is a rear mount 90mm chassis and currently running a GT1 body. The PN70 has new silver brushes which were broken in and I switched over to 64P gears......the car feels fast power wise. Handling wise it still feel a bit nervous but can put down some fast laps when I stay clean but it is not easy to do, I need to do some more work to get the car more consistent.

Second up was my Pro-Stock car which is in LM Spec running an Atomic 130 48t motor and the 787 body. I have been running the LM wheels and tires and I was struggling with lap times but the car was super constistant. I switched to 20mm wheels and my normals tire set up and the car came alive and was still super consistent. I still had a couple errors but still the car felt great.

Lastly I had a another go with my Box Stock car. I did not have any fully charged batteries so the car was a bit down on power but it felt great tonight. I still have done nothing with the exception of tires. I shaved another few seconds off my time. Considering the fact that I have doe zero to this car except for tire, the front suspension feels like it has rock for springs and the rear feels like a wet noodle the car feels awesome.

Tonight was was fun ripping some hot laps and feeling more comfortable.

Cheers.
Jim
