my dear a-mainers( u know who u are),

please share your best practices and more importantly the mortal sins in maintenance so that from one racer to another, our engines will have longer lives.

my lessons i learned from the great ralph lorenzo:

1.never use silicon oil to lubricate the engine or else it will most likely never ever start again even if you clean it.

2. use oils made by manufacturers of the engine that says "engine oil" or "after run oil"

3. while not in use, seal the engine to prevent water from the air entering which causes rust"

i made this thread kase i was in dogbone kanina and this guy was so frustrated with his engine and did not know why it wont start and just to find out he put silicone oil in it. if only he knew.

4. how and how frequent should you clean an engine, sana others can share.im not in a position to teach this since i have "namamatayan moments" and i blew an engine once.

Hi Sir, I suggest there's an official track fee written in the Hobby Shop, all these months we pay 400 for day and night. Last week there's an additional 100 charged to us for using the lights at night, kind of surprising though for us regulars. And if there's a member with its benefit for sure we will apply...
