If we HAVE TO MOVE the only option seems to be Friday. If you move to Saturday you lose a majority of the consistent/core racers. Sunday is unfair for the church going people, conflicts with the dirt schedule, also falls on a school night so you'd might as well keep it on Thursday. Friday-is not on a school night, does not affect the church going people, does not conflict too hard with getting transponders back to Tom in a timely manner, and doesn't conflict with the dirt track.
Why are we thinking about moving days? To accomodate a few out of towners. Dallas we love you but if by moving days means we could possiblly lose 6 CONSISTANT racers to gain a hand full of racers everyother weekend (at best), where is the advantage.
I like the schedule how it is and apparently so do few others but if we have to move it has to be Friday.

There is an advantage to Friday. Your not busting your hump trying to finish before a predetermined time.

I personally don't work much on Sat. and the students don't have to get up early the next day either. Another bonus is both the hobby stores are open on Saturday to fulfill all your broken R/C needs from the hacking on Friday. I don't want to mention any names, but you know who you are Tom.

I can't speak for Terry because I haven't looked at his schedule, but for me Friday doesn't sound too bad. If we race on Fridays I'll miss out on maybe 1 race a month at the most. I'd rather miss one race then get home at 12:00 on a school night with a Spanish test in the morning! The only thing I'm worried about with Friday racing is that's the night I usually take off to prepare for Saturday. It's a win-loss situation, racing season doesn't start til March anyway.

Seriously, do what's best for the majority of the club. You can't make everyone happy.

I'll race any night you guys decide on, but Friday night would work a lot better for me. I'll have a hard time convincing my better half to let me keep the kid out late on Thur nites, so I would be going to the races by myself for the most part. If we move to Friday nights, I can keep the kids out as late as I want, and not have to worry about getting them up for school the next morning.

I know for me, a lot of what I really like about this hobby is the family aspect of it. I really like taking the kids and hope that maybe next year they will be running in the Mini-T class....and the year after that they can be hacking me in the first turn of the Sock class A main
