They're not. We can agree there. FOX is worse. And that's where we're going to disagree. I never drew an equivalence or said they were the same. Just that they do the same things from opposing sides. Who's worse is opinion and purely perception. You're far right, so of course you're going to think CNN/MSNBC is badder. I consider myself left of center and view FOX as the worse offender for disinformation and fear mongering. Oh and driving division and hate. I call bullshit on both sides of the media, but note that you never see me defending CNN.

How am I far right? Fox does not come close to the fearmongering going on at CNN, MSNBC, or the rest of the liberal-dominated traditional media. The left are experts in division and hate that’s why they love breaking people down along racial lines. Hell, look at their hostility toward Jews. It was such an issue that Kamala had to pick tim walz over josh shapiro, who is a far more relatable individual to the everyday man. Heck, I can point out to anchor in every single left-wing new network that are openly hostile and racist against white or telling people of color how they are perpetual victims.

Both sides do spread bullshit. That's a fact. No one disputes that. That alone doesn't make them equal. If that is how you read it, that is not what I meant. I'm not saying they're equal, as I think Fox is worse. I'm saying Fox is the bigger offender. I showed you a link to an article a while back in here regarding political leanings, propaganda and confirmation bias. Generally the right is more conspiratorial, using dog whistles, being anti-government etc. Not saying the left don't have conspiracy theorists(they do), but a lot of them(the ones I meet) tend to be more right leaning. They oppose democratic institutions, a the federal government, and favor a smaller, centralized, snd more authoritarian government. Authoritarian to groups they don't like, especially towards non-christian, non-white people.

I have chatted with some far right people on other forums, reddit, and IRL. Some of these people have openly stated they were far right, particularly on certain issues. They would make a lot of the same arguments or counter arguments I've seen you make on here. So I thought maybe you were far right. If I was wrong, then sorry for the mistake. Even if you aren't far right, as a right leaning bias, you will of course view CNN as the bad guy and worse offender. Which goes back to my original point, who is worse is purely perception depending on where you stand politically, and who you chose to believe more.

Quick edit: I'm not conservative, so is it a surprise I would view Fox news as the more evil of the two?

Evidence matters, not perception. Most leftists’ issue with Fox is often framed around perception, even though much of their framing is backed by numbers. Meanwhile, left leaning outlets like MSNBC or CNN have hosts making explicitly racial statements against white people that’s far more overt. This is an example of outright bigotry that right wing anchors generally do not exhibit

I don't agree with this framing. A lot of it has been amplified by Hollywood and media portrayals of the conspiratorial conservative caricature, Dale Gribble is a perfect example of it. For every conspiratorial theory on the right, there is an equivalent one on the left, which by several metrics could be considered worse since they tend to separate people along racial and gender lines. Also right winger tend to be more open to talking about their theory, while leftists typically tend to talk about their conspiratorial theory within their own circle.

Another thing that doesn’t match reality, in america, the left has historically been associated with redlining, slavery, the KKK, and passing policies that manipulated minorities, like Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society, which is one of the main things behind the destruction of the black family structure. To this day, the left still often argues for immigrants only in low-wage roles like crop picking or janitorial work, or implies that if you are black, you cannot lift yourself up without the government nipple. In the past, you brought up the “party switch” to differentiate past Republicans from present day Republicans, even though I would classify the party switch idea as largely a conspiratorial theory used by Democrats to remove themself from the objectionable actions their party did in the past. The core ideologies of the parties stayed the same; the only realistic change was in the voter base.

I typically don’t like to refrence personal experience, so you can throw this part out if you want, but the minute I say I am Hispanic to a leftist, they automatically assume I am left-leaning and can’t imagine me thinking for myself or separating from the “hive mentality.” The minute I say I have conservative views, their opinion of me tends to change immediately. On the conservative side, people tend not to really care sure, some do, but not even remotely close to the left, where they actively promoted separation from family members if they held conservative views.

Oh, I don’t care if I am seen as far right, I just wanted to see what specific criteria I meet to be classified as that. Honestly, if someone asked what would offend me, I would have a hard time responding. I am my own worst critic and never seen myself as hot shit or special. My view prior to the recent culture war would be central, but the left has moved so far left that yeah, to them I would be viewed as far right. I love Dale Gribble. He's one of my favorite KOTH characters. But he is just that, a tv character. I was referring to real people, though you are right that the media unfairly portrays people. Right leaning media also does this to the left. Hollywood is more progressive than conservative, so they're going to paint the right as bigoted rednecks that live in the sticks, that are racist and stuck in the 60s. No surprise there. The party switch isn't a left conspiracy. That's taught in the history books in school. Wikipedia lists it. And wikipeadia isn't bias, it presents information as it is,y everything matter of factly. As for meeting conspiracy theorists, I was speaking from personal experience. A lot of them were also republican and watched Fox news. I talked to a flat earther once also, was a friend of a cousin that came on a group ride with us(motorcycles). You think those guys are a joke until you meet one.
