As for the slavery part, who still captures it own kind to have as slaves to this day? Africans. Who was the main one capturing and selling Africans? Africans. Who made the USA form the navy’s west africa squadron because they couldn't stop capturing their own and trying to sell them? African. Who was the majority force behind putting an end to slavery and eradicating it in its territory? Whites. So yeah not the same. If only schools actually went into those details when they talk about that period in US history, maybe we wouldn't have so much division nowadays.
