Racing in Atlanta
Looking for a place to race touring car in the Atlanta area.
I ran just started running at TFB and they closed down to move, I see there is a new address, but no word on a track.
Anyone know of a place to race electric sedan in the area?

CSS has everyclass but dirt oval. We are located in Upstate, SC. Our big classes are 19turn, mod, and spec touring. Here's the website. Feel free to signup with the forum and ask us anything you want. We've had a few of the TFB regulars come up and run since TFB closed down a few months back.

PRO4 thanks for the response. how far away from Atlanta is your track? Do they run touring, I only saw and off road and oval schedule posted on the site.
I can't believe there is no place else. Even a crappy track is better than no track at all. Especially, in a big town like ATL.

Oval and TC race on the same day. We run 19t and spec. Nitros are welcome if you bring enough for a class. Here's pics of the tracks.http://www.sdgmotorsports.com/

And AROCC is still racing every Sunday at the Sugarbowl, No it's NOT closed, gates open at 9 AM Sunday morning. Registration about 12 and racing starts at 1.
We've been getting quite a crowd, since people are finding the Go cart track LESS than perfect.

RED5 and fergie have a vindictive difference of opinion
the track was very nice for the region but was tight for most non driving nitro drivers who don't know that you can back off to make a turn. the layout was a good use of the location. they are running at the gocart track but as such it wasn't designed for rc the steel walls break things when you hit them.
TFB isn't closed down just moved up the street to cheaper rent with more parking. fergie is possible working on a parking lot track to race on but that depends on the success of the club at the gocart track as fergie doesn't have much time to run the races with the other stuff he has going on. he and his wife own a bakery which I find funny somehow. fergie the baker
hey Red5 how many electric did you have at the last sugarbowl race?

There is electric touring in Easley,SC www.carolinarc.com
We run SPEC motor/battery and also an open 19T class. Starting in Sept. we're working on building up the Stock class. We had 18 cars in the touring classes last weekend.
Next race is Sept. 10th. Next big event is The Mason-Dixon on Sept. 17th
for questions, e-mail cprahl at charter dot net

Our track is really too big to run electrics. We do, however, have a cut through to shorten the straights, for electrics, and welcome any cars, as long as there's at least 3 to make a heat.

I think I would have more fun running my sedan up and down 85.
