Default Ready for some local racing!

I must say, I am very excited about some local racing! After FSEARA 4 weeks ago, FER 2 weeks ago and getting my a$$ handed to me at Pre-Worlds all last week, I am ready to race at home with no travel involved and traction.

I will bring an extra car out this weekend, however, someone burned up my extra speedo last week at Pre-Worlds(not saying any names) haha! If we can get Bob to lend us his radiopost and someone else to lend us a speed, scratch that, I still have a speedo. We can have a car ready for someone to come out and run with us to try it out.

Looking forward to it! See you all Sunday!

So far this it what I have purchased. Don't have my hands on most of it yet:

1/12 VBC Lighting w/ HobbyWing Xerun 120A ESC
Airtronics MT-4
Venom Medion Dual 10amp DC Charger
4-Turnigy nano-tech A-SPEC 6000mah 1S 65~130C Hardcase Lipo Packs
CSI Deluxe 60W Solder Station with Digital Display
Going to make a power supply from a new 450 watt Computer Power Supply I've had sitting there for years (PC Repair Days).
Tires and a new body will be Friday's order.
Still need a transponder, motor, diff gears, pinion gears, tools, and practice!!

I love not having a wife nag me about how much I'm spending...

Can you tell I'm excited? at age 46 no less.. lmao

Cool. I've thought about converting a computer Power Supply for RC use. I'd like to see how it looks when you're done.

So Dave, do you come out of retirement every month?

Would you be able to explain this hobby to me?

RC racing is a complex game. I'll be happy to explain everything tomorrow morning.

Maybe I will post the manifesto of what we do and why we do it later. I don't want to give all of the secrets away, the sport may get too big and grow too fast...

We had a great day of racing. The 17.5 main was an epic battle between the top 3. The top 3 were separated by only a few tenths of a second most of the race, with each of them holding the lead at some point during the race. Bob took the lead with a few laps left and secured the victory. Thanks to everyone that attended. We had a little rain, but the track was never way too wet and it dried quickly. The threat of rain kept some people from attending, but we managed to run the full race program with a short rain delay. It's great to see new faces at the track every race. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next race, Sunday May 25th.
