Well, right now I'm set up to run RCGT. I would need to get another body, some wheels and tires (gonna need some X-patterns here soon; thanks to TJ my tires are finally showing some wear!), and some better skills at the wheel to step up in class. Judging by the way some of you guys get it around the track, I'd be pulling over a lot to let guys by instead of trying to run good laps in a higher class race. My fastest practice laps on Thursday afternoon were in the 20 sec range but I was having trouble with top end (sometimes it was FAST...other times it wasn't so fast) and I was sliding around a bit. Plus it was my first time getting around a track without smashing into walls!

I'd race whatever class I can get a race in. Right now, there may not be a class where I can get a good race. Soon though, I'll be showing somebody my tail lights!

Next time I come down (Wed if you all will be there) I'd definitely like to have someone drive the car a bit and make some tuning suggestions. I'm not good enough in the faster corners to be able to see/feel the tendencies of the car. My fdr will still be 7.8 or something, but it would be nice to see what you guys think. Need to order some gears.

High 14's? Wow...that's fast. I'd be getting lapped every 3 laps! That would be humbling.

In the state series, boosted 17.5 is still the most popular class. Keep in mind that ROAR doesn't have any boosted spec classes anymore, so there is always a chance that we won't run it next year. Second most popular is blinky 17.5. Then third is RCGT.

At our track we have had more mod cars than anything, followed by 17.5 boosted. However, we haven't had a club race at our track in at least 6 months. So your best bet is to find whatever class you want to run, and stick to it. Hopefully as onroad picks up again, the classes will fill in.
