This is what Randy post on Durango SC thread but it only apply to roar racing if I have 2 extra shorty I will try them too and take off the brass weight instead.

Not if run in parallel in series yea. But keep in mind in parallel you will be doubling the batteries resistance. I guess people would do it to achieve higher mah ratings. I say buy a stronger battery but thats just me. If you need 10000 mah you have some serious traction issies. 6500 65c gets me through a 10 minute main in shortbus.

Joe, the issue here is for setups like the Durango trucks that run saddle pack configurations, instead of a standard stick pack. There isn't much out there greater than 5800mah in a saddle pack configuration (which runs 1S in Serial).

That's why a 2S dual shorty packs in parallel is a option in order to get higher mahs for the Durango chassis/battery config.
