What are people running in the 1/10th Truggy class? Tires/motors/ESC's? Thinking about getting the Xray xt4 and I would need to get all new gear for it.

Thanks

I am coming back into the hobby after an 11 hiatus, I have tons of memories of this track that I spent the most time at, going mostly on practice days and made a few race days between 2004 and 2012. I have raced an hcg slash 4x4, Losi scte, RC10b 4.1, and an RC10GT. On some practice days I would run my heavily modified brushed E-zilla with AE MGT 4.6 wheels and tires, as well as a mostly stock Revo 3.3. The crowds started out thin, only a handful of people at the track, often there was a modded Revo 3.3 that was tuned more towards the truggy class, then after a few years and towards when I left the hobby, the crowds grew pretty large and the hobby seemed to really take off!
There were 2 shops in Ft Lauderdale with popular and lots of stock that I would go to every weekend whether I was repairing, upgrading , or just window shopping and looking at local racers cars. For the most part they have all been closed, with the exception of a few in the Deerfield and Boca area.. I have taken a step into the new nearby shops and the feelings all came back of when I used to frequent those long gone stores and I just had to get back in this hobby.

How are the practice meets nowadays? Are they pretty casual? What are the typical electric classes that are ran? Any classes not ran? Are there electric hookups or is a generator needed?

Thanks!
