I do have one other question as it applies to bodies.

What does the 200mm and 190mm refer to for the body shells on an HPI Sprint? Are they referring to the length or width of the body? And will either fit my car?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the way I understand it is they are referring to width as it applies to wheel offset so they won't stick out of the body? And as long as the wheel base is the same, both 200mm and 190mm shells will fit as long as your wheels are the correct offset for the body width?

Or am I way off base and as usual have no idea what I am talking about?

Ive seen people run from 6 all the way to 10 FDR. I would start around the 6 mark, there will be enough torque for you to slide, and it should keep your motor really cool. reduce the pinion size if you find that it is too hot.

Yes it is the width of the car. I believe the spring 2 is 190mm, so with a 200mm body (depending on the body), my 350Z has 3mm offset up front and 6mm offset in the rear. probably could have gotten away with 6mm offset all the way around.

Default NOOBie to drifting. HPI pro4

i havent been into the RC game since 2003(no brushless or lipos at that time) and just recently got back into it this year. got a good deal on a pro4 chassis in new condition. i was only gonna run this car for speed but my friend got me into the whole drifting scene.

HPI Pro4:
-Dynamite 2600Mah 2s lipo
-Dynamite FUZE Sensorless Brushless ESC
-Dynamite 5800kv Brushless motor
-Specktrum DX3E 3-channel 2.4ghz Radio
-KO-PROPO High Torque Servo
-Upgraded 1 way ball diff front
-Deans
lots of bodies/wheels

is there anything i can do to make it drift better? i'll be getting some T-drift tires soon.

Is camber used just for look's or does it help out with the drifting?

both for look, its also functional depending on how you setup your car... it comes down to track conditions and how you setup/drive the car

Start at around 5 or 6, then check temps often; raise the spur/pinion if its too hot... Ive seen some set their FDR at 9 or 10, so anything is possible

Josh,

Nice looking ride.
How did you get the dark/light "wrinkly" effect in blue?
