Serpent Project 4-X

Its been about 3 months of running my two 4x pros and I still love it!
Here’s a little tool a club mate 3D printed for me to help with chassis tweak. Also had to pick up a helicopter tail boon to use as the stick to push down on.
Works like a charm!

...and if they don’t have the specific parts you are looking for, you can always try ordering from Serpent directly. I would only order from them if you have a bunch of parts you can’t get from Serpent America, because shipping can be a little steep from Hong Kong, but at least it arrives in a timely manner.
BTW, I would also suggest that you get on the Serpent America mailing list, as they typically have sale offers/discount codes regularly.

I have had my 4X since it was released as the Evo. It has been upgraded to the Pro version and the car has been on point on black carpet. I know, black carpet grip is so good that almost everything works on black carpet. I bought this car to target the mod class here locally but I have never had a good day on rubber tires on low/medium grip asphalt. I am not looking for answers guys. This is just a shout out to Serpent with a request.
This car would be better with metal shock caps for the heave damper. With my heavy hands I have stripped a few of the plastic shock caps on the heave damper (my fault). Every hIgh end rc car has metal shockbodies and metal shock caps or offers them as an option. With only two small shocks instead of 4 large ones much more load is placed on these tiny shocks even if they are built correctly with the right oil. Getting the shocks to work consistently has been my struggle. As interest switches over to mid motor cars this car still has potential.

Sorry if this is a repeat question but i can't find the answer. Is anyone else experiencing a leaky diff? I have 4 diffs with different cst oils but they all leak from the drive cup area and the the center mesh area. If i tighten the 4 this screws too much, they will bust through the housing of the diff. If they aren't tight enough, it seems like the diff leaks much faster. I've tried the new "green" seals which seem to work a bit better but they still leak. How do i fix this? what am i doing wrong?
Also, what mods have to be done to run an Xray T4 diff? i have a few of them and they've never leaked.
thanks for the help...

Second attempt I applied way more generously the Associated green slime on the parts around the drive cup especially the oring and then I used gasket sealant (https://www.permatex.com/products/ad...esive-sealant/) on the connecting parts of the center mesh area applied very finely with a tooth pick. I tightened the screws firmly and never leaked again and it was about 4 months running leak free almost weekly.
One mistake I did make was I did finally stripped the inner gears about a month ago and when I took the diff apart the oil inside was an unrecognizable brownish/grew goo. I think I didn't let the sealant cure before I started working in the diff which may have caused the sealant and diff oil to mix. It didn't seem to affect performance though.
Hope that helps,
Ivan

Has anyone purchased the Arrowmax FWD conversion? Or at least seen pictures on the 4x platform?
I recently got an X20, so I'm looking at a conversion to extend the life of one of my 4x, but I cant find much information.
