Make sure to use some wax or grease when installing, those pivot balls have a different thread in some way and go in very tight. Also, keep an eye on them after a crash, they aren’t quite as strong as the steel balls.

Yes sir, I’ve run them. I should have said a big crash, they aren’t weak, just not as strong as steel. I think that’s why the thread was made more shallow, to maximize strength, making them a bit harder to thread into the arms.

What is the largest 48p spur I can use on this chassis?

If you are looking at buying the 4x I would wait until the 4X EVO comes out. The Serpent facebook group said it should be out very soon.

Mid-Jan is now the latest release date. The car has slipped to the right slightly probably due to some last minute tweeks.

I'm waiting patiently to see this new EVO kit before deciding between it, the Gizmo and Awesomatix. I had at first been afraid of the through shocks on the Serpent but after hating through shocks for the last decade+ or so I have come to appreciate them.

I get all of my spares from Desoto/serpentamerica and they seem to have all the parts I have needed. The shipping and customer service has always been very responsive for me as well.
