That's my plan. Although I may have to go to a funeral. But I'm not sure yet.

How did the TB04 with full option parts handle around the track compared to the TA07? Any feed back is appreciated

I've driven both TB-04R and a TA07 (built per the manual with kit oils, except stabilizer bars and 1mil diff oil in the front) at Ripon this past August.

Both had the same motor, battery and USGT tires. Differences were gearing (TA07 probably under geared) and body (TB-04R with a PFM-10; TA07 with NSX Concept-GT Lightweight w/ stock wing).

The TB-04R felt like it reacted more quickly than the TA07. The shaft drive, carbon shock towers, and reinforced plastics were probably the reason why.

The stock TA07 felt more stable, easier to drive, and more precise overall. Turn-in (rotation?) felt snappier and it held its lines through the corners better.

I ran a second a lap slower than Badboy during the race and finished 2nd. Gearing was 3.8 FDR I think.

Helping a friend get ready for TCS. I own the TB04 already. Got the drivetrain very free. Just wondering what people think are the pros and cons between these two cars

I have a fully optioned TA07 and I will be running it at one of the Carpet TCS races with the type C tires I have an NSX regular weight body I can run and an older lightweight Nismo Z. I have not run either body on the car or on carpet yet.
Any suggestions ?

I've never used the type C tire. But I'd imagine that the normal set up would work. C-C front blocks XB- C or D rear. 6 & 5 droop. 50 weight front with white springs, 40 weight with blue springs. Or blue - blue springs. Should get you in the ball park

tb-04 is more lazy than ta-07 in my opinion it feels heavy driving
easier to put the ta-07 where you want it
there also is a limitation of internal gearing with the tb-04 where i have read that guys were using tb-03 39 tooth diff gear to change the ratio

If you place against bevel gear and O ring, it will wear a groove in them fast and start leaking again.
It seems like the 0.1mm 5mm shims were the right size for me. Anything larger and there was way too much pressure creating a lot of extra friction.

TA07 will have better high speed drive train efficiency than TB04. Both handles very well for me with tuning but how the power delivery feel is very different. TB04 have high speed efficiency issues when you start to max out the rpm of a 17.5 on the straight. TB04 is a solid choice for smaller indoor carpet track as right now it does have carbon reinforced chassis option. TA07 is a solid choice for Large outdoor track with higher speeds. But for me I feel TA07 has less compromises and will have stiffer chassis parts in the future to make it better for higher traction.
